Leah headed straight towards her sister's room without wasting a minute because their shoutings were getting unbearable while moving she murmured to herself "What is there to engage in a fight always?".

The door was wide ajar. What Leah visioned was a sight not unfamiliar, her twin sisters were physically fighting. One was found to be pulling the hair of the other and the latter wrestling with arms of the former, struggling herself to rescue from the evil wrath of her twin. Sighing, Leah said in a voice loud enough to grab the attention of her sisters
"....And what's today's reason for the fight ha...?".

"I don't want to hear the same..." before Leah could complete her sentence she was met with the union screaming of her sisters " She was the one who started it..! " When they realised what they had said was with perfect co-ordination they grudged together "Aargh ".

"Guys not again, you two need to grow up because you are gonna be high schoolers in no less than two months. Before you guys get expelled repent, okay " Leah said with an extra air quote.

To this Ziya replied "but I...." and was forced to stop by Leah as she spoke while rolling her eyes at the same time "Listen I don't need an explanation when this thing happens almost all the time".

"Am going" with this Leah turned her back and moved, while in her midway, she stopped and without turning back She asked, "Anyone want sandwiches with extra cheese?".

"Mee" Leah was again met with the unison reply of the twins. With this, she continued her march while a small beautiful smile was etched on her face.

Her creator had blessed her with the best of the best but little did she realize what was around her were one of the best gifts she had ever received.

Munching the sandwiches with her siblings Leah made up her mind for a weekend trip which was definitely needed to make up and refresh everyone's mind.

"Listen Zoya and hello! You too Ziya, go get changed yourselves, we are going on a trip and that's final".

To which Zoya rolled her eyes and said "What really?..first of all, are you OKAY! And least of all am not in a mood with this flu" and as if though her body sensed the word flu "Haaachooo" was the outcome of it.

"Listen I made the word clear, final means it's final. I don't wanna hear anything anymore from you two, now hurry up". Leah said in a demanding tone as that was the only thing she could possibly do right now, to get away from this mood off and mend up everything. Yes,
mending up not just this situation but to mend up everything. And everything would get back to its normal place she thought to herself but her inner voice corrected her 'not everything'.....

Sighing, she raised her head and looked at the ceiling as though she knew her creator was right there, watching her in distress, her eyes filled with tears unshed and she quickly rubbed it off as her sisters were there, behind her, quickly washing the dishes and hurrying to get dressed-up.

Leah went back to her room and after a few minutes, she got herself changed into a long navy blue top with black jeans. As she stood in front of the mirror neatly wrapping her grey hijaab that matched with the side embroidery of her top she noticed her fragile cheeks that once were so red and bubbly but now they have worn out adding to the bang of dark circles.

She picked up the keys and walked straight towards the twin's room. What she always got amazed at was, that how her sisters tried to look different from each other through being identical, they differed in every aspect from clothes to accessories and other stuff except for the unison love they have for sandwiches, pizzas and soups.

Ziya was wearing a light colour hijaab with design prints that matched with her complexion whereas Zoya was working with her dark green colour hijaab in front of the mirror. Even the style in which they wore the hijaab was entirely different, leaving the fact that they covered all their hair and for the latest trend dramas of how to wear a hijaab stylishly.

When Leah look at them, it is then that realisation dawns upon her that they too had undergone a great loss and affection which she was able to receive at their age.

Walking towards the balcony knowing that her sisters needed some more time, she once again looked at the vast sky above her.

She said in her faint voice
" Ya Allah! Forgive me, forgive me".

A cool drop of tear escaped from her eyes. She was quick to wipe it off with her bare hands.

"Mom, am not doing this again, I won't, I hate you mom, why do you guys never allow me to go for a party? It's my best friend Anika's b' day mom, look...I have talked about it earlier and you agreed and why now? All of a sudden what have I done to you that you won't even give me any of your good-old justification"

Sensing that her parents were not going to utter anything.

Leah got frustrated and SCREAMED at the top of her voice.
"I hate you, I hate you guys, I wish I never had any of you, it's better to be an orphan than living with you guys, am telling you am gonna run away from here, attend that party and do things as I wish".

To this, her mom's eyes got as wide as it could be and later that formed into a huge frown.

She looked at her mom and said "Mom please, just this once and I will never scream at you guys. I promise you guys, that b' day doesn't have any haraam kinds of stuff like you think mom. You think they would be wine and beer and all of a sudden I would bang at your door at past midnight in a half-drunken state and a boyfriend who would accompany me till the door. Mom, if you accept what Faayiza aunty says about others you are gonna ruin my life FOREVER, got it".

She swallowed hard and her tears betrayed her while she spoke
" Look, dad, I-am- not- like-others, didn't you tell me that I was special and different from others, didn't you?"

"I have never asked you guys for anything like this before, please let me go, please"

What Leah heard next was her father's harsh demanding tone "You are not going to attend that party where girls wear mini skirts and dance at such loud music, You are not going and that's final".

With this, her dad moved from his chair and left for his room followed by her mom who didn't even dare to glance at her.

Coming back to reality, back then Leah thought herself as a pathetic teenager in her sweet seventeen, a stage of life that she regretted of being who she really was. She was, of course, a typical teenager then, with a confused mind and so many daring thoughts. She understood what her parents worried about, her future, to be a good Muslimah in a foreign country was not an easy task, they were so many distractions around that you wouldn't even realize when you have turned out to be such a brat.

She regretted about what she had said to her parents back then, added to the thought that how silly she once, was.

It's true that "What is said is said" you cannot take back the harsh words that have once been said, be it knowingly or unknowingly those words that you have uttered have a permanent stay in life, the marks, will always remain, it cannot be erased no matter how much you have apologized.

You can be forgiven easily, but the things that you have done, no matter how much you say, cannot be forgotten easily.
