A/N: OMG it’s been forever since I last updated this! I’m soooo sorry; please find it in your hearts to forgive me!!! ;~; I hope that in my haste to bring you the next chappie I’ve not written a piece of crap, cuz that’s how I feel. >.< I dunno which gave me the worst headache, this one or the one before. D:

Concerning this chapter, I want you to keep two things in mind:

1) This is Kingdom Hearts we’re dealing with, so things are bound to get a little… weird? Yeah, let’s go with that.

2) Everything Riku and Alicia went through is going to change how they behave with each other. Now, I’m not saying I’m gonna put them all 100% okay with each other, this fic is about developing their relationship after all, but note that Alicia will now feel a bit better towards him for trying his hardest to get them out of there.

Also, I know some of you are probably confused with the whole two voices inside Alicia’s head thing, but rest assured that things will be explained… on the next chapter (probably, hopefully).  xD

And unff, that setting change~~ It means we’re finally moving forward with this! :D

Latin words used in this story are as follows:

Spumae = Scum

Numquam minantur mihi iterum, spumae.” = “Never threaten me, scum.” (Hey, it’s like getting a glimpse of the chapter, yay!)

I’ve never said I was good at Latin, so if any of these translations are wrong, forgive me. But woot, I’m writing phrases now! Go me! \o/

Lame title is lame, lame ending is lame, there's probably some mistakes here and there... Meh. Just... enjoy.

*Dedication goes to the wonderful Bunchgirl4595 for being the first to comment on my work. Thanks so much, guuurrrlll! :3 <3

oooOooo

Riku paced back and forth inside his cell. He had sent that demon in search of the King a long time ago –at least that was what he thought. His nerves were on fire from having to wait so damn much, and his patience was running thin. Where were they? And more importantly, what was taking them so long to get there?

He stood still for a moment as soon as he heard someone singing. The voice obviously belonged to Alex and thanks to his heightened senses he could clearly hear what was going on. Well, at least some of it. Riku thought he had heard the lyrics that flowed through his lips and once he figured out that he did, in fact, know them, he just lost it.

Growling low in his throat, he measured what was left of his mana and decided to take matters into his own hands. Calling forth upon the powers of lightning, fire, water and wind, he started casting spells at the cell bars, combining each one, trying to find the weakness of the spell that bound him prisoner.  To his surprise, it started giving way when he used blizzard in its secondary form, combined with a new spell he’d learned a long time ago from Sora, called Quake. He had a brief flash of the time he’d learned it, and he remembered Sora saying that he ought to use earth-based spells more often because it was somehow his second strong forte, his first being darkness. Riku being Riku decided to master the strongest, and hardest, one of them all, and right now he knew that he had made the right decision.

He kept at it until he felt his mana almost drain up, saving the last remnants of it for an emergency. Riku looked at the bars and noticed a broken sheen surrounding them, a small hole in the bottom-most part. He’d done his best, but it apparently wasn’t worth much. He grunted and in frustration summoned his Keyblade, but soon gave up on that idea because of his wrist. Damn, he’d somehow forgotten it was still injured and he couldn’t actually do any of the fighting. That frustrated him even more, and even if he could numb the pain for the moment with a cure spell he was bound to be a nuisance himself. And he was not about to use what was left of his mana right now.
