A/N: Wow, new chapter already? I am impressed with myself!

There's actually not that much to say about this one other than it might be a filler? I don't know, you be the judge. As for the time passage of this one, please, don't bite my butt too hard for it, I needed to time skip or I would've been stuck forever trying to write chapters of Alicia only training. Also, my chapters seem to be getting longer -don't count on that for future ones as my writing is not predictable, really.

I have no clue when Riku's POV will come back, but I know it will, it's just a matter on what gets me inspired next. Just in case you were wondering... ;)

Disclaimer: I do not own Kingdom Hearts or any of its characters. No money is being made out of this.

Warnings: Apart from the occasional cursing, there IS a bit of gore here, but nothing too descriptive. If, however, you feel squeemish about any type and form of it, feel free to turn your eyes away by the end of the chapter (although it's very important of you to read it, as it belongs to the main plotline). Also, still not proof-read.

oooOooo

He STILL had beautiful eyes, yet she always forgot once their fighting sessions began. He was ruthless and ever harsh when training her, unlike Aerith who took it easy on her and pointed her mistakes as they were meant to be pointed out: with nothing but kindness and understanding.

Alicia had learned a few spells with her, and even though she wasn’t as skillful as her trainer was she at least could defend herself with them. Aerith had also said that her wings having natural mana in them helped her out when learning magic, and that was why she now knew a few more spells than the basic beginner. Fire, lightning, and blizzard were the best she could learn when it came to offensive spells, and as for defensive ones she was barely able to grasp the concept of aero but she was managing. The cure spell did come in easy for her, though. She had mastered it within a few days, and so Aerith decided to teach her Cura as well, saying that the more she could power up her spells, the better. She had praised her on every turn, and Alicia was glad she did. She needed some sort of positive outlet if she was going to go through with this until the bitter end.

But then there was Riku.

“You can’t do that while trying to turn at the same time!”

“Stop trying to only go forward with your attacks!”

“Increase your speed when on ground, you have an agile body, use it to your advantage!”

“Do NOT move your weapon that way when trying to perform aerial attacks!”

Alicia didn’t know what she disliked most: the fact that however many times she tried to get better she still failed when it came to melee attacks, or the fact that the guy who was currently beating her on their training session was not the guy that had saved her before. He was changing, becoming someone he was not, and she and her other side were starting to notice how with every little thing that ticked him off would set him on a rampage. She was scared, yes, but she was also determined in trying to figure out what she could do to help him out. After all, she owed him more than words could say.

“You’re still weak.”

Except she almost always forgot to be nice to him when he was being that big of a dick almost all the time.  She didn’t know why he was acting the way he was, but her inner voice suspected that everything Riku was doing was related to his awakening Stalker side. That had crossed her mind once or twice but she had effectively pushed it out of her head. Alicia didn’t want to think of that, be it as dangerous as it was not to. But what else was she to do? The Riku she had met all that time ago had been cocky and sort of a serious guy, but she knew, even though at the time she didn’t care to even acknowledge it, that he was a good guy. Yes, that bet had marred how she had viewed his personality traits, but when he saved her life? Yeah, no, she got a whole new different look at him altogether. He might have had stalker blood in him, but he was good, damn it all, and she would do her best to ignore his growing Darkness and reawaken his Light. How was she to do that, she had no clue. But she needed him, needed his input on things that no one else would understand. Maybe she was being selfish in wanting to rescue him all so he could help her and that was why she never succeeded…
