Jane burst into the library, interrupting a lesson in etiquette with Miss Edith.
"What business do you have in here, Jane?" She asked dryly.
"I'm sorry Ma'am, but I thought Her Highness would like to hear this news immediately."
"What is it-" Began Miss Edith
"What news do you have, Jane" I cut her off.
"Your father has decided you are more trustworthy, and the rules of your confinement have ended. You're allowed in the garden without guards, and you may leave the palace as long as you have at least three guards with you at all times."
"That's lovely news Jane, but is it worth-" Miss Edith began again.
"Oh, that's just wonderful!" I jumped up and hugged Jane, smiling. She was surprised, but quickly relaxed.
I turned around to see that Edith was smiling too. I quickly shooed Jane away, and went back to my lesson. It wasn't like no one was ever going to be watching me, and I probably couldn't sneak out like I used to, but at least I wasn't a prisoner anymore.
