Wow... It took two years for this adventure to end... It makes me sorta sad ;-; It feels like a small hole has just been dug into my heart...
But, whatever! The long awaited ending has come-forth, ready to submerge! I've learned a lot these past two years. The most important thing? Stop making cliffhangers on every chapter, that's a pretty shitty and rude thing to do .-.
ANYWAY, there might  be an epilogue... depends on how well this chapter flows. But, besides that, there's one less chapter than I promised, sorry :/
Anyway, hope you enjoy ;)

Chapter 39: Yes, This Is The End

Blossom's POV

"Brick! Get out of the way!" I stopped my yoyo in mid-attack. It seemed he was blocking Him, like he was protecting him? Why?

"This is stupid! Why does everyone keep fighting? It's pointless!" he yelled at us. I looked at the ground. He just doesn't understand...

"Brick, I don't know what Him told you, but whatever it is, it's a lie! He's just using you to get to us!" Boomer explained.

Brick shook his head and fell on his knees on top of a tall building. He tightly grabbed the debris under his hand, turning his knuckles white.

"I just... Why can't you just stop? You won't even explain anything! How am I supposed to choose a side if I don't know anything about you guys!?" he cried out. I instantly felt guilty. He was right. We were so vague in explaining his sudden amnesia and everything that was happening, that we really didn't even consider his own feelings. To Brick, we basically kidnapped him and tried to manipulate him.

His anger seemed to seep out of him. Red sparks flew around Brick. No... Those energy balls we helped them learn to make... Brick must have been making one without acknowledgement, and was surging it through the entire building.

"Brick-"

"SHUT UP!" he screamed almost immediately at my words. He began yelling at us to get away from him but at the same time, the red sparks only grew larger. Everyone was speechless as the building he was once sitting one soon deteriorated. Without even realizing it, Brick was floating in midair.

"Stop it!" I yelled, "Someone! Stop him! He's going to hurt himself!" No one moved, except Him, who had a large smile creep up on his face.

"Well, isn't this grand? Little Brick has finally grown up, how cute," He cooed. Him glided closer to Brick. He attempted to put his large claw on the shoulder of Brick.

Brick didn't even glance up as he shot Him backwards. Him seemed utterly surprised.

No, this is it. He's finally, truly, vulnerable, I thought.

Buttercup seemed to guess that faster than I did, as she quickly zipped behind Him and slammed his back into the opposite direction he was flying towards. Without a second thought, Butch followed her lead and punched Him, sending him flying towards the ground.

I flung my yoyo towards Him, and spun him back into the air until he was once again heading towards the ground. Bubbles encased Him in a large, spherical ball.

We thought we had Him trapped, until Brick flew fast towards the ball Him was trapped inside. It looked like he was preparing to pop it!

"Brick, sto-"

At the last second, I noticed the red ball of energy in his hand. Just what is he doing...?

For a second, nothing happened, that was, until everything around us exploded. Everyone was flung backwards in a bright, white light. The damage done to our bodies was minimal.

But Brick took a direct hit from his own explosion.

"No!" All of us flew to the general area where Brick was once in. There was nothing in sight. It had ended. Just like that, in the blink of an eye. I almost coudnl't believe it.

"The lava's gone. Everything is." Bash said, "None of it was real. It was just an illusion,"

What...? In the air around us, small, white fluffs were floating in the air. Snow?

"Oh, don't tell me you didn't notice. Lava roaming the streets? What a joke. It wasn't even hot outside," he explained, but to be honest, I didn't care.

I looked around. No sign of Brick anywhere.

"Brick?" I called out. His brothers were quick to begin looking around. I heard coughing from a nearby building. I went inside it and saw Brick lying on the floor.

"Oh my god! Brick! Are you okay?" I held him up by his shoulders and pat his back. Everyone else followed me inside.

"I thought we lost you there for a second," Boomer nearly cried as he hugged Brick. He only nodded as a response.

"It doesn't mean anything," Butch said pessimistically. Buttercup shook her head.

"And why not?!" I yelled at him, "He defeated Him, didn't you see? Everything is okay, now!"

"Blossom..." Buttercup said solemnly. I held my breath at her words. "He still doesn't remember anything," she finished quietly and stared at the ground.

"A-actually," Brick coughed slightly, "I think I remember Momoko. You can't tell me that a 'spell' can't be lifted once the caster is gone, right?" he chuckled. I smiled while relief flushed over me instantly. The struggle to hold myself from crying had failed. Bubbles wept from joy with. Butch smiled, it seemed a lot of stress has been lifted from him.

"H-hey, guys, give me a little room. We've just been through a lot and I feel like I want to throw up,"

Bubbles instantly back up by five feet with an "Ew" coming from her mouth.

"I guess now that your world has no more problems, for now, we'll be going. We gotta go back home and restore peace with our destructive ways, you know, the usual," Blake chuckled and waved good-bye. He left with his brothers back to the lab, or anywhere they could probably find a mirror, probably.

"So... Uh... What do we do now?" Bubbles asked, "The world is finally saved, Him's gone, and there's probably peace in the city, once again. What's next?" she questioned pretty much our entire existence. Everyone could only blink as a response.

Buttercup and Butch were currently taking a nap on the couch. Bubbles and Boomer were talking contently with each other.

As for Brick and I, we were outside, sitting in the grass.

"Shouldn't we do some kind of celebration or something? Like, throw a party to commemorate our victory?" Brick asked. I shrugged.

"We could, but... Honestly, do you really feel like doing anything?"

He laughed and sighed. It was a happy sigh, one that said "I'm in a good mood and I will kill anyone who dares interrupt this".

I leaned my head on his shoulder and stared at the sky.

"You know, that first kiss we had? It didn't really count. And our first date? It was quickly interrupted. Maybe we should have another," he suggested.

"Yeah... Maybe..." I closed my eyes and smiled.
