Seto groggily opened his eyes. E must have fallen asleep when he decided against exploration for now. For now.
He sat up and placed his feat on the wooden planks stretching out. It's weird not dangling his feet in the air and not jumping down like he normally would've. He misses the orphanage.
He gets up, when a voice pierces his ears. "Good morning young Setosorcerer." Quill is closeting the door behind her, walking into his room.
"Hi," he says, with a lack of energy.
"Sleep well?" She asks, setting down a stack of books onto his desk.
"No," he says.
"Lesson one, a sorcerer has to sleep. Tired or not, you must. Magic takes a lot of energy," she says matter-of-factly.
"Whatever," he mumbles, head pounding.
Quill grabs three of the books and shoves them into the shelf. She seems much more happy today.
"You seem happy today," Seto jokes.
"Oh yes!" She says, rubbing she feathery hand together, "Today is going to be wonderful! We can finally begin out study in the Mental Arts! Not boring reading, since your mind has seemed to decipher the symbols," she says with a look of glee in her eyes. That smile... other than the gold lips and razor teeth... it's so familiar to the young Mage.
"Come young Setosorcerer."
"Don't I need to get dressed?"
She utters a few runic words impatiently, bronze threads slipping between her fingers. Soon Seto is standing in his Mage wear.
"Come, we have not got anytime to waste. I hope you slept. You've got a bunch of work on the Garden of Shadows," she says.
"What's the Garden of Shadows?" Seto asks as they leave his room, walking down the hall with Quill.
"A cemetery for fallen warriors of the evil. They are turned in shadow beings and lead to the Nether to continue their strife," she says so simply.
"Like 5m..." Seto trails off.
She raises a eye brow. "How'd you meet him. He's on of the few falsely accused."
Seto hesitates."I was having a tough time sleeping, you know, my emotions kinda got the best of me,"
"I know, I heard you yelling and saw where you punched the wall," she says blandly.
Seto lightly blushes, "Yeah, sorry about that by the way. Anyway I kinda left the room and right when I left he appeared behind me, so yeah..." he said.
"Ah! He roams the corridors a lot. May I ask why you left?"
He shrugs. "I was tired and confused, I wanted to know more about my surroundings."
"Well that is fine dear. This is my tower, you can go anywhere but my study. Just be careful not to get lost," she says.
Seto silently nods as they continue to the top of the stairs. they stand atop the netherbrick tower overlooking the red landscape.
"So now what?" He asks?
She spreads her wings and swoops up into the air, diving down and grabbing his wrists and bringing him up in the air going at a very fast pace.
"Oh my freaking Notch!" Seto screams as they sore across the fiery landscape.
"Ha ha!" She laughs twisting between mountains of netherrack among glaring ghasts.
"Oh Notch, oh Notch, oh Notch!" Seto screams as they five down a cliff. "I hate this! Dear lord!"
Quill only laughs as he enters panic mode. She gets close to a lava stream, bringing the sorcerer very close.
"I hate you Quill and I want to watch you burn in the Nether!" he yells with wide eyes.
"All ready am!" She yells.
"I swear your freaking bipolar!" he continues to yell.
"In more ways than one!" She happily says, swooping up into the air quickly.
Seto just tightly shuts his eyes in fear as he is brought higher up, feeling her twist and turn in different sharp turns. When he's sure he's gonna be sick, they come to a sudden stop, she speaks in her normal, respective tone. "Open your eyes Setosorcerer," she says, putting him down on his shaky legs as he breathes heavily.
"Never... Again..." He pants.
"Lesson one, a mage never lets fear overcome them," she says, "Now come."
He observes his surroundings. The seeing is defiantly not in the Nether. A large stone hall light with light blue and navy torches with coffins neatly put away.
But glowing eyes peak from the darkest corners of the large room, whispering inaudible words, each in a angered hiss, enough to send chills down your spine.
"The Garden of Shadows, Doorway to Hell, Whispering Hall, it goes by many names," she says quietly, her eyes scanning the dark, blue tinted stone.
Seto looks around, looking at the glass shards laying soon the cold floor.
"This is how the souls get here," Seto asks.
She shrugs. "Fallen Warriors in the side of wrong."
Seto looks. "Why are we here?" Seto asks.
"Training."
She takes a step forward, moving towards the alter, looking like a metal angel standing in a sea of blue light and darkness.
"Follow. But do not dare step on the glass," she says.
Seto nods, avoiding the clear shards, and follows her to the small alter. Nothing is there but the engraving of a single symbol. It is a curling flame inside a twelve pointed star.
"What's this for?"
"Stand upon the tube Setosorcerer," she commands.
He hesitates.
"Do it!"
The glowing eyes in the darkness turn to him.
He takes a step forward.
"Wait. Take off your boots," she says.
He licks them off.
"Now stand upon the rune, facing the East," she says.
He steps onto the smooth carving and faces towards the East, feeling anticipated, and worried about what is going to happen.
"What now Seto asks," dread skimming his voice.
"The spell will come to you in three seconds," she says.

The angered whispers seem to melt into a pained voice, speaking in jagged runic, altering pitches multiple time.
"Now say it," she whispers. "Say the words Notch has forbidden!" She yells at him.
Seto can tell that a dark power lies in the odd words. But, how could he tell.
"De me ectuton." His voice comes out smooth and flawless with a odd, almost robotic, pitch embedded.
A seating pain erupts in his head, as he grasps it, yelling out.
"Do not fight it!" He hears Quill yell at him.
He falls to his knees as the whispers grow louder, more understandable.
"Welcome to the past," a deep voice echoes followed by a laugh.
