Meeting Again

Dylan Coles POV

' Alpha Dylan ! We've got word of a rogue in town. Do you want to go after her?' I was furious someone had interrupted my meeting until they mentioned the rogue was a girl.

I then perked up because I've been looking for my mate for years. 4 to be exact. Everybody pressures you to find your mate, it gets hard sometimes.

'Yeah it's probably the new pack members. ' I assured beta. His name is fin. He might not be straight, but he's my best friend. I walked -wait no I ran out side. I shifted into my pitch black wolf with a patch of gold on the back flank. I ran out to the highway that my patrol is circling. I started running the highway when I'm hit with the most amazing smell.

Shiz-nit! I just found my mate. I didn't realize I had stopped in the road until I'm hit by a car. And by car I mean large truck.

I moan as my mate touches my leg. At least I try to. She gasped and pulled away. I know she felt the fireworks. I just know it.

Before I can comprehend anything, my mate gets in the truck and drives off. I whimper and shift back butt naked. She turns around and looks into my eyes and a single tear falls down her face.

She rejected me. I think that over and over in my head as I wallow in my self pity. I'll never get up. Never.

*knock knock knock* "Dylan! Get up! There a girl down here who needs initiated into the pack. Get up NOW!" Shouts my sister and brother at the same time which I find confusing. They are twins but it's creepy.

I get up and walk out the door not bothering to get ready. I smell the most amazing smell ever. My mate! I run out of the door and into the arms of my mate. We tumble and fall to the ground. She looks me in the eye and something builds up inside me and I feel like I got stronger.

She pushes me off her with more strength than I thought she'd possess. I land on my back with a huff. I look back at her and her eyes are stone cold. I wonder why?
