My eyes flew open as a hard object hit my head, slamming into my skull before thumping to the floor. I groaned out loud, rubbing the spot where the item touched, sitting up from the warm bed sheets. I looked down at the object, my eyes heavy, to find that it was a blue Converse high-top shoe, with the laces undone. I recognized it as Dan's, and I turned around to face the door, where he was, in fact, standing.

"What?" I groaned, slamming my head back on the pillow, wincing because I landed on the spot that was just hit. I opened one of my eyes so I could see him, still standing in the doorway. He shrugged. "Phil told me to wake you up," I sat up again slowly, before scoffing as my reply.

"Not with a shoe," This made him laugh lightly, before he left, to return to where he came from (which was probably a dark closet with headphones in).

"Don't forget that Phil wants you!" He exclaimed as he strode down the hallway. I sighed again at my abrupt awakening and unlocked my phone, checking the time. "11:35". I should probably get up. Reluctantly, I threw the covers off myself, unpleased with the cold air that rushed throughout me once I did.

I decided against changing into regular clothes and I walked out of my room in my Marvel Comics sweatpants and a white tank top. Walking down the hallway, I found the suitcase I had brought with me when I came to stay with Phil and Dan for a week, so I crouched down and pulled out a black hoodie from it, slipping it over my head and smiling at the instant warmth.

Once I finally reached the kitchen, I saw Phil, desperately trying to flip an egg. I laughed, making him turn around to meet my eyes. "What?" He demanded, and I couldn't help but laugh again.

"Do you need help?" I asked, and he sighed, nodding his head. I walked over to the stove and took the spatula from his hands, giggling at his attempt to make breakfast. I began scrambling the egg up, trying to make it edible.

"Why were you cooking? You could have let me do it," I laughed, and he just poked my cheek, a look on his face that made me think he was trying to look mad, but I only laugh harder at his expression.

"I was trying to make you breakfast before you had to leave today," He said defensively, pulling out a bowl for him to make cereal in. I felt my cheeks grow warm and I turned my head the other way, so as Phil couldn't see.

"Thanks for trying," I said as sincerely as possible, dumping the finished eggs onto a plate for myself. I then pulled out the salt and began shaking some on the yellow food, which made Phil look at me confused.

"What?" This time it was my turn to ask.

He just shrugged. "I thought girls didn't like putting salt on things. Something about a lot of sodium or something," At this, I stared at him, and without breaking gaze, shook even more salt onto my food.

"Sodium my ass," I said bluntly, setting the salt down and walking over to sit on the couch, Phil following behind me. We sat in silence, the only sound coming from our spoons and forks clanking against our bowls and plates occasionally.

"You have to leave today," He said quietly, and I looked up from my food to find him staring at nothing. My heart clenched, and I looked back down again. "Yeah," I said quietly, gulping. "But I'll come back at Christmas, yeah?" I was more trying to comfort myself than Phil. The thought of leaving for another three and a half months was depressing, almost unbearable.

"Shelly?" He said.

"Mm?"

"Why do you need to leave?" His voice sounded so broken and sad, and it made me want to burst into tears and hug him and tell him that I would stay, but I swallowed all my emotions and forced myself to respond calmly.

"Because it's the middle of August, Phil. I'm starting University in a few weeks and I need to be ready, and I won't have a proper vacation until December." He just nodded and looked into his bowl of cereal, which was now soggy. It broke my heart a tiny bit to see him look like that. I had let him down so many times, and why he was still here, still waiting for whenever I came back, I didn't know.

We continued to sit in silence and I let my eggs go cold, no longer feeling hungry. Finally, I got up and set my eggs on the counter, before looking at the time on my phone. It was noon by now. "We should probably go if I want to make the train on time," I muttered, and Phil nodded. I quickly walked back into the hallway, grabbing my bag that was on the floor and took it back to Phil's room, quickly collecting any leftover items I had laid out. Once I was finished and I had changed into something more decent, I walked back out to find both Dan and Phil standing in the door, waiting. We all exchanged a small smile, and walked out of the flat.

The car ride was silent, with Phil driving and Dan in the passenger seat, me in the back with my bag. I was glad I wasn't up front, because this way I could just look out the window and be left uninterrupted by my thoughts. The ride wasn't a long one, so we arrived at the train station in a few minutes, and in the blink of an eye, I was standing at my platform, watching the train pull up that would take me away. I turned around to Dan first, giving him a hug and not saying anything. I was too afraid I would burst into tears if I did. I then move to Phil, looking into his icy blue eyes, before colliding into a hug with him, this time letting the tears flow freely. I didn't want to leave.

Our goodbyes were completely silent, except for the occasional gasp of air I gave out from crying. I looked at Phil once more, and he just nodded once, giving me a small smile. I tried to return it, but couldn't as people began rushing onto the train as it pulled up, running into me and pushing me backwards, until I gave up and turned around, getting onto the machine.

I was leaving, and I was terrified that when I returned, he wouldn't be waiting for me anymore.

A/N: This one was particularly longer and a bit sadder, and I hope you aren't too upset with me for that. I wrote this a bit earlier in the day, so I had more time and energy, and I think this is my best one so far.

Also, with the Carrimon one and the PJ one, I am planning on editing them and making longer and brushed up a bit, along with any others I'm not particularly proud of.

Oh, one more thing: in every one-shot I do switch up the POV a bit, to give it more variety than just the boy or just the girl. (And honestly, I really hate when Imagines or one shots write it in second person, like "you looked at him", and then having people mention you with "Y/N", for "Your Name". It's just weird.)

I hope you liked this one! :D
