I grabbed my grey beanie and put it over my head.
"Hey." He walked into the room. "I brought you white hot chocolate and a danish. They're in the car waiting."
"And that's why I love you." I walked over and hugged him.
"It's raining, so you should probably get a sweater," he said, pointing at my black long-sleeved shirt.
"You're probably right."
I walked over to my closet and rummaged through my coats section. I wanted something casual today so I looked through the hoodies I had hung up. I reached in the closet and pulled out a grey hoodie. I quickly took the beanie off my head and put the hoodie on. After I adjusted the hoodie, I put the beanie back on.
I wore my black combat boots to fight against the rain, paired with my black jeans.
"Whose hoodie is that?" Finn asked, as we walked downstairs and out of the house.
"It's one of your guys'. I'm not too sure," I mumbled the last part as I got in the car with him.
I picked up the drink that was mine and let it's liquid warm me up.
Finn and I arrived at school not long after. The parking lot was more packed than usual. Some students would come earlier to get a closer parking spot so they wouldn't have to walk farther in the rain.
We parked and then climbed down from his car and hurried to make our way inside the school. The hallway wasn't usually packed in the mornings, but because it was raining outside, everyone wanted to stay clear of the rain and therefore was inside. Finn held my hand, pulling me along as he maneuvered his way through the crowd.
We had arrived pretty late to school. People in California are always slower drivers on rainy days. For good reason but it did cause us to arrive just when the bell rang.
Finn continued to pull me along until we reached our first period class.
"Beautiful weather but it makes people move around slower," he said as we walked in and took our seats.
"California. The only time people don't speed."
He nodded as our teacher instructed us to take out materials to take notes.
When the bell rang, we packed up our stuff and walked out of the classroom.
"I'll see you later, Rox," he said, looking at me just before he walked off in the direction of his class.
"See you at lunch." I hugged him.
I made my way down the hallway.
"Hey." He draped his arm over my shoulders.
"Hey, Gare Bear." I looked up at him.
"How are you doing?"
A smiled spread on my lips before I said, "the happiest."
"Because it's raining. Of course." I heard the smile in his voice. He pulled me closer to him and kissed the top of my head.
We walked into our physics class and took our seats next to each other in the far back of the classroom, closest to the window. My seat was right next to the window so I had the best view to see the rain. Usually on sunny days, my teacher had the blinds partly closed to let some light in but on days like these, he had the blinds wide open, giving me a chance to see the cloudy skies and rain falling.
When class started, we listened to our teacher lecture and took notes. After that, we did some class work.
"So..."
