New friends?

Nicole's pov

When we got home I help mom put my new clothes away.

" Mahogany!" Dad yelled from downstairs.

" Yes?" She answered.

" The Grier's and the Dallas' are coming over for dinner tonight." He said. She smiled.

" Oh, good." She said. 

" Who are the Grier's and the Dallas'?" I asked. 

" Well," She paused and placed the last small stack of clothes in the bottom drawer. " They are very close friends of me and your dad's. They are like family." She finished and shut the dresser drawer. " Oh, and the Grier's have a 6 year old daughter and 8 year old son. "

" Oh, cool!" I said.

" Wanna make a cake?" She asked. My eyes lit up.

" Yeah!" I excitedly said. She smiled and we went down to the kitchen.

*2 hours later*

My dad dipped his finger in the left over cake mix and tapped it on my nose. I giggled and did the same to him. He chuckled. When he wasn't looking I dug into the bag of chocolate chip and put some into my mouth. I giggled. He looked at me suspiciously. I chewed them and swallowed. 

" You little slickster." He said. I laughed. He then picked me up, putting me over his shoulder. 

" Ah!" I squealed. 

Ding Dong

" I got it." Mama called. She then opened the door.

" Mahogany!" A boy yelled.

" Cameron!" She yelled back. He chuckled and hugged her.

" Hey! I wanna hug aunt Mahogany too." A little but loud voice called. The boy let go of my mom and a little girl with blonde pigtails came running in. The boy chuckled and moved out the way. She then reached up for my mom.

" Aunt Hogany!" She exclaimed. Mama picked her up and hugged her.

" Hey Skylynn, how you been?" She asked.

" Good. I now have 46 hoursey's." Skylynn held up her fingers.

" 46 wow." My mom laughed a bit. " Well, I have someone for you to meet." She added.

" Really who?" Skylynn asked. My mom turned and started walking towards the kitchen. My dad put me down and I silently stood there.

" Sky this is Nicole she our new daughter." My mom said and put her down. She then came up to me.

" Hi, i'm Skylynn." She told me as she smiled.

" I-i'm Nicole." I told her. 

" Is Hayes here?" Mama asked.

" Yeah he's with Nash in the living room." An older lady said.

" Hayes, come here I have someone I want you to meet." Mama called.

" Ugh. coming." A boy said. Then a boy with bright blue eyes and brown hair came in.

" Hayes, this is our daughter Nicole." Mama said. 

" Daughter? You weren't pregnant aunt Mahogany." He said. Ouch. 

" I know Hayes. We adopted her." Mama told him.

" Oh." He said and just stood there. 

" Dude go say hi and tell her your name. Don't be a douche." The older version of him said. He sighed then walked over and stood in front of me.
