Poster Competition: an AmazingPhil x Reader

Prologue

(Y/N) sighed as they stood up and turned off the camera. The rent for their tiny apartment on the outskirts of London had just gone up again and they could barely afford it before the increase. (Y/N) worried about what they would do if their prints didn't start selling soon. They didn't want to move out of London or back home but would have to if they couldn't scrape together enough money for rent and food

An impatient meowing interrupted (Y/N)'s train of thought. Their fat ginger cat was sitting on the kitchen counter, paw outstretched and ready to knock the salt shaker to the ground.

"Don't you dare Henry," (Y/N) said as they started to get dinner for the old feline. They'd got the cat from a shelter four years ago and the two had been annoying each other ever since.

As they put Henry's food bowl on the ground, he rubbed his head against their leg in thanks and purred as if to say, 'you know you love me.'

"Yes you dumb cat," (Y/N) said affectionately as they moved to the couch, "I love you."

(Y/N) sat down and reached for their laptop, ready to start editing the video they'd just filmed. After half an hour, they decided to take a break. They opened YouTube and saw that AmazingPhil, their favourite YouTuber, had just uploaded a video titled 'Poster competition.' He and Dan were running a competition for the design of their new poster and the winner's design would be used.

"This could be my chance, Henry," they said to the cat that had joined them on the couch.

(Y/N) decided that they would get an early night and work on the poster in the morning. As they lay down on their bed, (Y/N) looked at the posters of Dan and Phil on their walls and mumbled "I really hope this is my chance," before turning off the light and going to sleep.
