Topic: when you get lost on Halloween ______________________________
Matt (age 12) Today was Halloween. One of your favorite holidays. Christmas came first, then thanksgiving and next was Halloween. You still had to go to school so you had to wake up early.
You did all your business in the bathroom and afterwards , you went with wearing some leggings, a plain white shirt and a sweater because it was kind of cold out. You put on your maroon vans and got you bag and headed downstairs.
You headed into the kitchen to see Matt making cereal for you and him. Matt was a junior while you were a freshman. You set your bag on the counter and sat on one of the stools ready to eat.
It was 6:20 am so you had plenty time before school started. After Matt finished he turned around and yelled "GET UP-" he cut himself off when he saw you. "Oh you're up." He smiled and gave you your bowl.
He sat down next to you and started eating. "So today's Halloween! You excited?" He asked. "Obviously. I'm dressing as little red riding hood." You said. "Well I'm dressing as spider man." He said. "What about batman?" You asked. "Oh well, too late." He shrugged his shoulders, and you just chuckled.
After you finished and cleaned up you left for school around 6:50 am and waited for class to start.

You and Matt drove back home after school ended at 2:20 pm in his car. When you got home you went to the study room to do your homework and after went up to your room. You weren't going out till 7:30 and it was only 3:35 pm. You decided to watch baby daddy on Netflix to pass the time.
Around 5:30pm Matt told you to start getting ready. So you grabbed your towel and headed into your bathroom to take a 15 minute shower. When you were done, you got out and wrapped yourself in your towel. You also wrapped your hair. Then you shaved your legs and washed your face.
Next you let your hair down and blow dried it and then brushed through it. You went out to your room and put on your undergarments and went over to your costume. It was beautiful.

It came with a cape and hood and shoes and a basket, which was perfect. You put it on carefully because you didn't want it to tear. When you were done putting it on, you checked your self out in the mirror and said "perfect."
You put on some perfume and deodorant. Then you put on your baby earrings which were just some white pearls Matt bought you on your 12th birthday. You put on the shoes that came with it and grabbed your phone, the basket and headed downstairs.
You went into the living room where Matt was sitting on the couch already dressed in his spider man costume. It looked funny so you took a picture when he wasn't looking and sent it to all the guys in a group chat. They all responded with '😂💀'.
You put your phone in the pocket of your skirt and sat on the couch opposite of Matthew. He looked up from his phone and smiled. "Nice. So we are leaving early because mom and dad are gonna be out for the night so they're not here.
We just have to stop by Taylor's house becuase I left something there." he said as he put his phone in his pocket. You got up from the couch and waited for Matt as he locked the door to the house. You got into his car and drove to Taylor's house, which was about 20 minutes away.
It was no surprise that when you got there, it was packed with a bunch of teenagers. Most likely Taylor was having a party, a halloween party. Matt told you to stay inside the car while he went to go retrieve what he left. As you waited, you couldn't help but get out of the car and start trick or treating.
But Matt and your parents had both said that you shouldn't go trick or treating alone, but you decided to push that thought out of your head. You got out of the car and started walking down the street, turning right on the corner onto some other street.
While you did that, Matthew had found what he was looking for and headed back to his car. It wasn't until he got inside that he noticed you were gone. Of course, like any good brother, he started freaking out.
He didn't want to tell his parents that his 12 year old sister could probably be walking the streets alone. At night. On halloween. So the first thing he did was call you, but you had turned off your phone completely.
So he realized that he needed help looking for you and so he went back inside where the party was and called for Taylor. When he showed up, surprisingly, Matt told him about you and Taylor decided to shut down the party to help look.
some time later
It was now almost 9 and you had been wandering around alone getting candy. Your basket was full so you decided to stop and call it a night. But suddenly you realized where you were and and thought where am I?
Standing there alone made you realize (once again) that maybe you shouldn't have wandered off and wait for your brother instead. You walked somewhere randomly and ended up in the woods. It was dark and cold and you decided to turn on your phone so you could call Matt because you were starting to get scared.
When the screen came on, you went to call Matt but it said there was no service. So you spent another 30 minutes looking for a bar when you finally found one. You called Matt instantly and he answered quickly. "WHERE ARE YOU? DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS? WHY WOULD YOU WANDER OFF ALONE? MOM AND DAD ARE GONNA KILL ME!" Matt yelled through the phone. "ok ow my ears and I'm sorry.
I was getting impatient and so I thought that maybe I could go alone for once but now I'm stuck here in the woods and its scary and dark and I wanna go home and eat candy while watching Netflix." you rambled while sitting on a rock.
You heard Matt sigh through the phone. "you know if it wasn't for tracking devices, you'd probably stay out there." he said. "you chipped my phone?" you asked kind of mad. "hey, mom and dad thought it'd be a good idea since you like to wander off a lot." he said. "true, come get me please?" you asked. "on my way." he said and you hung up.
After about 15 minutes Matt and Taylor showed up and you couldn't be happier. You and Matt went home while Taylor also went home. You watched horror movies on Netflix the rest of the night while eating candy with Matt.

this is so late. halloween was almost over a month ago. thanksgiving is in 2 days. should I skip that day and just start writing for Christmas and New Years? I think that would be unfair. but anyways I hope you guys have a great great thanksgiving and be thankful. who's going Black Friday shopping? I might lol I hope you enjoyed- ash
