~ In which more there occur more bloody situations
"What?" Patch asked. Minna was still staring blankly at his flight ticket.
"What do you mean, 'what'. This thing is calling me Landon Carlson." Minna muttered disappointedly.
"You only read it now?" Patch snapped. "You needed an identity! We couldn't just buy you a flight ticket without any name to go with it!" Minna recoiled a bit.
"Okay, okay!" Minna attempted to pacify her. "Calm down a bit, you've been a dragon lady ever since we got inside the airport."
Indeed, Patch had been. No reason why. Before she had been feeling so bubbly, the adrenaline from the kiss still running throughout her veins. But the moment that they bid Rachel goodbye she had been extremely grouchy.
Being completely out of character, it wasn't just to Minna either. It was to the lady at the check in counter, the security guard they asked for directions, the teen at Cinnabon, and even the flight attendant.
"Wait..." Minna held up a hand to stop any further snapping as something occured to him. "Don't tell me... you're scared of flying?!"
"Don't be an idiot!" She growled as she sat in her seat.
A short moment passed. "Er, was that a real reaction or a Minna got it right reaction?" The older boy asked.
"A real reaction. And, shut it! I'm going to sleep." After fastening her seat belt she turned towards the window, closed it, and curled up.
Minna glanced at his ticket one last time, just to make sure he really did have to sit right next to her.
Geez, if this was how she was after he kissed her then he probably just found another reason to not kiss her every second of every hour.... Oh. Yeah.
It came to mind, now, that a while back - a long while back - she had specifically said something about not kissing her. Something about saving it specifically for when she would get married...
Nope. No more thinking about that. It made him want to kiss her again.
Not that she was a great kisser... Not that she was a bad kisser either! But she was inexperienced. A bit more practice and she would be the best ever. They could make out all the time, everywhere. Oh heavens, more and more...
Minna's face grew bright red when he realized that he was thinking about that kind of stuff, and she was right there!
The plane was taking off now. Like her, he should sleep.
But instead of sleeping, he stayed wide awake. His heart was pounding and he just couldn't. So he picked up the book he bought at the airport and tried to distract himself by reading. Unfortunately, he had left his glasses back in L.A. and concentrating on the book was difficult because his eyes got so strained.
"Drinks?" The attendant with the cart asked when she finally got to his aisle.
"Uh, yeah. I'll take a coffee." Not wanting to order the wrong thing, Minna roused the dragon. "Patch, anything you want?"
Patch turned and blinked groggily. One side of her face was pink. "Ginger ale." She said.
The lady produced the drinks and really teensy bags of peanuts. "Would you like to order a meal as well?"
"No. Thank you. Here Patch. Want nuts too?" Minna asked as he helped her fix her table and handed her the drink.
"No." Patch sipped at her ginger ale. "My stomach really hurts."
