"Stop!" Marissa yelled. "Put me down."

"Alright crybaby." I said.

We stood in front of my sister's school playing on the steps I pretended to push her she was scared as hell.

"I hope your sister likes me." she said.

"She will babyeh." I said.

"I'm not your babyeh." she said mocking my accent.

"Whatever you will be soon."

She rolled her eyes. The bell to Lily's school rung.

Lily was the first one out.

"Lucabug!" she said.

I picked her up. "Lilybug."

"Hey I got an A plus on my reading test."

"That's good Lily." I said

She got quiet for second then whispered in my ear.
"Whose that behind you?"

Marissa laughed.

"That's my friend Marissa." I said. "Plus you're not a great whisperer."

"Hi I'm Lily Lucas' only girl in his life other than our mommy now who are you?"she scrambled out of my arms.

I laughed at her bossy self.

"I'm Marissa but you can call me Riss what can I call you?" Marissa leaned down to Lily's size.

"Lilyann that's what you can call me until I get in good terms with you do you like Barbie dolls?" she asked her.

Marissa looked at me and I shook my head.

"Of course I do I love Barbie dolls especially Teresa do you have her?"

"Every one." I said

"She asked me." Lily yelled. "Yes I do."

"That's great." Marissa said.

"Let's go you two." I said.

We all got in the car and I drove to Chick Fil A.

"Lucas look." Lily said as she went down the slide.

"I see you supergirl." I said.

Marissa looked at me and smiled.

"What you thinkin'." I said.

"You are a great big brother." She said.

"Yeah I know I promised my mom and her that I'll be there for them even when everybody is old and gray haired I'm a family man." I said.
