"Dad why we gotta move a day before my birthday?" I whined.
"Because I'm not moving all of this by myself a family helps move." He said picking up the box for the kitchen and putting it in the back of the truck.
"So I had to miss school for no reason?" I said.
"Nah." he said. "It's for a reason."
My phone notification ring went off and I had a text from my mommy
Mommy💎💙: Marissa I have something to tell you 10:32am
Me: wassup mama something wrong with Dunk 10:34am
Mommy💎💙: No I'm two months pregnant 10:35am
I froze up just staring at my phone. My dad came and waved his hand in front of my face.
"She's pregnant two months dad." I said.
"Who?" he asked.
"My mom." I said.
"Oh as long as it not by me."he said walking off
I slipped my phone back in my pocket confused and happy at the same time how is she gonna have a 20 year old, 17 year old, an about to be 7 year old and a newborn on the way?
I got back to packing my stuff. Until Jinaye came and jumped on my dad.
"Micah guess what?" she said.
"You won the lottery." he said laughing I started laughing too.
"No I'm pregnant." she said.
Is pregnancy in the air?
"Oh my god." My dad said. I gasped and covered my mouth.
"Aren't you excited?" she said.
"I mean yeah of course." my dad said hugging her but his face told me he wasn't excited.
On the way to our new house. Jinaye kept talking about baby names.
"Ooh and if it's a boy Micah Jr Mj for short." She said. "Ooh is it's a girl then Jiniyah Micaya."
I busted out laughing.
"What's so funny?"Jinaye asked me.
"Nothing." I said.
"Hey Marissa isn't your birthday tomorrow?"Jinaye asked.
"Yeah." I said.
"What you doing for it?"
"Olivia, Sayria, Yung, Oliver, Lucas, Quincy and I are going to Dave and Busters." I said.
"Cool mind if I chaperone?" My dad said.
"Sayria's mom already took the position." I lied.
"Oh okay." he said.
20 minutes later we pulled up to our new house. It was a two-story 5 bedroom, 3 bath with a basement and rec room and basketball court and pool in the back also a pool house.
