Ikes POV:

I keep my hand over my eye. I don't want Kyle to see it. I hate my family. My mums a phyco bitch. My dad is a push over and Kyle, we'll he didn't really do anything.

Kyle is cool. He is probably my best friend. Despite everything that's happened, I still see the kind, nerdy, funny, Jewish kid he was when he was 'happy'.

But thanks to him. We have to move away, to New Jersey, across the country. And now I'll never see any of my friends again... Or Firkle....

I continue to stare out of the window at the passing building and street I call home. It's gonna be a journey, so I might as well sleep. I close my eyes and rest my head on the door of the car, blocking out the sounds of my mum and Kyles argument.

I could feel myself drifting away but I was jerked awake by a nudge on the shoulder. I turned to the side to Kyle looking at me with a sympathetic smile. He whispers in my ear.

Kyle: "Ike, I managed to convince mom to let you say goodbye to Firkle.
When you get out the car, I want you to run to Firkle, and don't leave the house."

Ike:" What?"

Kyle: "This is all my fault. I asked if my final request could be to let you be happy."

Ike: "Thank you so much Kyle. But I will see you again, right?"

Kyle: "...... Of course."

I'm so glad I have a brother like Kyle. I lean over and give him a hug, him returning the gesture.

That was a big mistake.

As we let go of each other Kyle's face turns from a smile to a frown.

Kyle: "Ike, what's that on your eye." He said in a serious tone.

I quickly covered my eye. And looked down.

Ike: "I-its n-nothing."

Kyle:" Ike. Let me see."

He pulls my hand away and looks at my eye.

Kyle: "Who did this!"

Ike:" No one, I just walked into a door. "

Kyle:" Did they do this!"

His eyebrows become a 'V' and his frown become a scowl. He points to our parents in the front. I look at mom in the corner of my eye, but decide to not tell him.

Ike:" As I said. I was running outside and instead I ran into the door."

Kyle:" I seriously doubt th-"

Sheila: "We're here. Ike, hurry up and say good bye to your little friend."

I step out the car and walked up the paved bath leading up to Firkles house. I waved in the direction of Kyle, making sure Mom and Dad didn't see. He smiled a little and waved, but he began to look sad. I quickly turned away. I walked up the path, saying goodbye to my family.

Thank you Kyle.
