"Now that those useless hunters have been dealt with. I want to know why you are here Ruby. "

"The big boss needs souls. So I rounded up some demons to create some havoc. "

Sam closed his eyes. Smoking the demons out of the humans and sending them back to the pits of hell, might as well use my powers while I have them, he internally added.

"Nice! Sam. Now, what am I supposed to do?"

"You'll figure it out."

Sam turned his back on the demon who at one time meant everything to him. He didn't need her anymore.
He didn't need anyone.
Not even Dean.

He had drained two demons when he had departed ways from Ruby; using the knife he had taken from her -slicing through the corroded - while the demons were frozen, thanks to his powers.

He was surprised at how easy it was. Usually they fought. But it seemed like they were somewhat willing...?

It irked Sam to no end and the feeling followed him all the way to the starless motel room he had been staying in. Placing two full gallons of demon blood on the table...

It was really freeing when he had turned his back on Ruby. The demon had manipulated his feelings manipulated him in all the wrong doings. He had set Lucifer free from the cage. That was on him.

Although Sam couldn't care less at the moment. It was just him in this motel room. In this world and it felt like no one could stop him.

He greatly enjoyed the feeling and even relished in the thought of not being the good little soldier, but carving his own path for once in his life.

It felt good.

He set a clear glass on the table opening one of the jugs of demon blood and poured it in the glass until it filled all the way.

He picked the glass up and tilted it to his lips the sweet smell was intoxicating leaving no room for hesitation and downing it all in one sitting.

He was just about to chug the gallon - his hunger growing exponentially - when he heard a knock at the door.
