Strolling through the sanctuary, minding my own business, I hear Krex, Nazir, and Astrid speaking.
Silently, I tiptoed to the edge of the doorway, and stood with my body flat against the wall.
"We could send Tauri to do the job." Nazir said.
"She doesn't have the guts to do it!" Astrid shouted.
I wanted to charge at her, yell at her. She doubted my abilities, she knew I was a better assassin than she was.
Growing tired of her insults towards me, I started to leave the little group and go find something more interesting.
When you speak of the devil, he shall appear.
No sooner than I took my first step, Cicero appeared out of nowhere.
"Listener!" he shouted.
"Shhhhh!" I whispered while I placed my finger up to his lips.
They were softer than I had expected.
"Cicero is very sorry listener." He whispered," listener, Cicero would love it if you followed him."
"If it keeps you quiet!" I whispered. After several minutes of following Cicero, we were in the middle of the forest. There were several trees that formed a small semi-circle, and a small pond in the middle.
The bushes were speckled with berries and flowers. The trees rustled in the wind, which was actually quite chilly. Autumn was near, so the leaves were just beginning to turn vibrant hues of vibrant red and pale yellow. The soft crunch of the dead leaves beneath our feet was the only thing I heard for the entire journey.
"Please close your eyes listener." Cicero asked quietly.
"Yes." I responded, while closing my eyes.
"Follow Cicero's voice."
"I am."
"Now stop, you can open your eyes."
I opened my eyes, and the scenery was breathtaking. Cicero had taken me to the small mountain a few miles outside of Falkreath.
I looked up, the sky an inky black broken only by a few stars. The moons were shining brightly, illuminating the sky, as if it were day. I must have been too busy gawking at the night sky to realize that Cicero's arms were wrapped tightly around my waist, his chin resting on top of my head.
"Are you enjoying yourself?" I asked quietly, not want to disturb the night's music.
"Cicero always enjoys himself when he is with you." He replied, his voice filled with joy.
"Cicero, you're a crazy man." I said.
"Cicero can't be a lonely crazy man, can he?" He asked.
"Are you asking me what I think you're asking me?" I asked.
"Will you be Cicero's crazy woman?" Cicero asked.
"Yes!" I shouted while hugging him.
"Cicero loves you." He said while kissing me.
"I would love to be your crazy woman, Cicero." I said, and kissed him again.
This was the best day I my life.
