Four figures could be seen behind the waterfall, Huangguoshu Pubu. Their looks were all blurred by the water falling down. Once you entered the secret cave behind it you would see them trying to solve a riddle in order to open the door to the space inside. They were all a bit tired and frustatred by the woman who was sitting down and meditating as she tried to remember what code she had told the maker of the traps inside to put on that door. To kill some time the three people made sure to take a nap as they knew it would take a long time for her to remember. Apparently she can remember her deep hatred and everything wrong that happened to her but never took time to remember the good stuff and small things she had done and had happened to her.

Just as they were all starting to fall asleep she woke them up.

- Okay, got it, she got up and went towards the stone door.
- Finally, the large man in black leather jacker sighed.

- And just when I was about to go to sleep, a fiery-pink haired girl complained.

- Five hours and forty-eight minutes. That's a new record, the guy with a poker face and glasses on him said praising her.

Xuo Ai ignored them and made sure to let light inside the dark tunnel. At the moment she did that arrows flew from left to right. Another set of arrows flew past her from right to left once the first arrows disappeared then it continued like that until it seemed like the trap had ended.

- Was that it? she asked herself. He did a horrible job-.

Suddenly three arrows flew right at her which she managed to avoid as her fellow companion behind her did too.

- That was close, he breathed out. That ancient strategy guy you told us about sure is cunning.

- Well Wang, I didn't hire him for nothing, she answered him proud over herself for making that decision three thousand years ago.

The three friends since high school went further inside the mountain. They were a strange combination of friends. In a matter of fact you would not even think these sort of people could have ever become friends had it not been for that accident that would be known as one of china's most tragic accidents and they had been one of the few survivors of it.

After Xuo Ai had humiliated Nina Long her family was harassed and framed for a crime, which her father had to pay four years in jail for, because of Nina's mother (who was the reason why Nina turned into a spoiled brat in the beginning and didn't let the humiliation her daughter felt go). After all... they are like mother like daughter. Because of the scandal her family had to go through Xuo Ai was expelled from the prestigious primary school she had earned a scholarship to. She started going to a public school where she earned a scholarship to a famous private and expensive high school however she rejected the offer of beginning since Nina and Ren also were there. Instead she continued going to a public school. There she was known as the Empress. No one dared to get on her bad side, only a few dared but they were ignorant people and met a humiliating fate. It wasn't like Xuo Ai did something bad. It was just that people were too jealous over her flawless existent and ended up getting bad karma.

(AN: or that's what they thought, every human has a flaw be it seen or unseen)

She got good grades, popular with both genders, beautiful, good at physical activities etc. No wonder jealousy rose up on the others whose self-confidence wavered whenever she was around. Well... it wasn't like she flaunted her greatness or bragged about her beauty and intelligence. People just felt inferior in her presence as she had the air around her of something that their own being could not meet up to or never reach. And then that tragedy had happened...
