Conflicting Decisions

(One afternoon, Jude visits the inn to grab a quick bite to eat.)

Leia: So, how's the Yakisoba?

Jude: Very good, as usual! Thanks, Leia!

Leia: I gotta hand it to you! You did not even try to spare one noodle! *Picks up his plate*

Jude: What can I say? I'm a growing boy! *Pats his stomach*

Leia: *Laughs* What a dweeb!

Jude: Am not! ^,^

(They both laugh.)

Leia:....I take it your Dad is still working you to the bone.

Jude: Sadly! He just doesn't understand. I can't be like him. I gotta follow my own path.

Leia: And that path involves spyrite research?

Jude: Yea-

(Suddenly, an elderly man collapses to the floor and begins to have seizures.)

Woman 2: *Screams* Someone! Call a doctor! MY FATHER NEEDS HELP!

Leia: Oh no! *Sets plate down and rushes toward the man*

Jude: *Shocked, he follows behind Leia.*

Leia: H-how did this happen?

Woman 2: I'm not sure! We were just discussing a political debate and...now this! If only we had spyrix, he wouldn't have these seizures!

Jude:.....Spyrix.....! That's it! Leia, do you have them?

Leia: You mean those fossils from the Felgana Mine? Yes! They're in my bag- *Rushes to her bag and takes out 2 spirit fossils.*

Jude: *Takes out a device that uses the spirit fossils.* This should work!

Leia: *Looks at Jude* Are you sure you know what you're doing?

Jude: If I'm correct, the chances of this man being totally cured with spyrite technology is probable. However, it is a 50/50 shot.

Leia: That's too risky!

Jude: But, would rather us watch idly as his life dwindles down to nothing? Or would you rather take the risk in trying to save his life?

Leia:...Option 2!

Jude: Just, trust me, Leia!

(They walk over to the elderly man.)

Leia: Don't worry, sir! Everything is gonna be all right.

Jude: *Connects the spirit fossil with the equipment.* Okay! Here goes nothing! *Places the piece of technology toward his temporal lobe.*

(Suddenly, the man stopped as the spyrite technology activated.)

Woman 2: Father.....

Man: *Blinks eyes and looks at his daughter.* W-where's my ice cream?

(The crowd gasps in awe as they witness the miracle set before them.)

Woman 2: Oh, Father! *Hugs him* I'm so glad you're okay!

Leia: (H-he did it! He actually did it!) :O

Woman 2: Bless you, kind sir!

Jude: It was nothing!

(His Mom and Dad walk in.)

Mom: Where's the patient?

Mr. Rolando: No worries, Doc! Your boy saved this gentleman's life! And it's all thanks to that spyrite device!
