"what?" I said to the nurse. She nodded, and stood there, not moving.
"Do you want me to try and find your father?" she asked.
"No thank you, i-i um think i'll be fine here on my own. She nodded.
"The doctor will be in shortly to discuss treatments for you, ill turn on the television for you."
"Okay." I said, trying to smile a little bit. I closed my eyes and tried to lift up my left side. It doesn't move, but only sends a tingly feeling through my body. I could move the  right side of my body fine, but the left was unmovable. Soon, a doctor came in the hospital room I was in and sat down on the chair next to my head, leaving a wheelchair outside of the room.
"Phillip Michael Lester, excuse me Phillip could you pull up your sleeve a little and show me the number on your wristband please?"  The doctor asked politely. He seemed young, maybe only thirty. I lifted up my sleeve and read the numbers aloud to him. "183402"
"thanks, son. Hello, I'm doctor Benifold, Doctor Mike Benifold, but you, Phillip, can call me Mike. I am going to be taking care of you, and assisting you with all of your needs while your paralyzed. Your father told us to keep you as long as we need you, so that's what we plan to do. I have a few questions for you before I tell you about the treatments if that's alright?"
"alright." I returned softly.
"Do you enjoy people?"
"I like people who won't put me down. "
"What's your favorite color?"
"Umm, blue."
"Favorite food?"
"Muffins." These questions seemed to be getting weirder.
"Last one, Do you see the glass half empty, or half full?"
"Half full." I returned.
"Thank you Phillip."
"You can call me Phil." I interrupted.
"Okay, Phillip- er- Phil, you have a temporary paralyzed left side, which is very rare, so, we are going to try medication, and therapy to get your left side moving again."
"Sounds easy enough." I responded.
"But we have one favor to ask from you."

"What is it?" I asked. I could see there was fear in his eyes while telling me this.
