Allison's POV

One of my favorite classes was AP English, mainly because I like to write but because Mr. Addams is one of the best teachers I've ever had. The only reason I despised this class was Eli Gates was a student. I didn't even know he was smart, but Mr. Addams told me he is one of the best writers he has seen in his 30 years of teaching.

As he did everyday ten minutes into class Eli finally decided to show up. It took everything in me not to roll my eyes. Mr. Addams began to describe the final project we had coming up. We were going to get paired up with someone in the class, we had to learn everything we could about them, life events etc. and write an autobiography, and they would do the same for us. I desperately hoped he would pair with Jenna who was a close friend of mine. But because the universe hates me I got paired with Eli Gates.

Jenna looked at me with huge eyes as Eli made his way over to me. I gulped and began to look busy with my notes. He grabbed a chair and sat facing me. "Yes?" I asked him still not looking up. "Didn't ya hear? Your the lucky girl who gets to be my partner." "Right..lucky." I said after unattractively snorted.

Don't get me wrong Eli was by far one of the most attractive boys in our school..at least in my opinion. He wasn't the pretty boy type but more rugged. His hair was always a mess, but he could pull it off, and he had some of the prettiest eyes I've ever seen, they were electric green almost. Eli was muscular you could see it through his tight t-shirts. The thing I found most intriguing about Eli was though I've seen him smirk or smile at his friends I've never seen a genuine smile, every time he smiles its like there is pain behind it, just like with mine. What the hell am I thinking?

I shook my head from thinking about Eli, and glanced up again to see he was staring at me. I nervously looked around the room. "So what is the project exactly?" He asked. "Well if you paid attention you would know." I said smugly. He smirked and shook his head, "You have a mouth on you Allison Walker. Tell you what, you can explain it to me tonight, party at my house. You can invite your little friend too." He said as he winked at Jenna who blushed ten shades of red, and got up as the bell rang.

I sat in my seat for a few seconds dazed. "Everything okay Allison?" Mr. Addams asked me. I shook my head yes, and left.

"Oh my god!" Jenna yelled as he grabbed my arm as we started walking outside to leave school. "What?" "Eli Gates just invited us to a party! We have to go!" She squealed jumping up and down. Sometimes I worried about her. I shook my head, "No way Jenna." I said protesting. "PLEASE Ali!!! You know it's the only way Eli will help with the project." "Ugh! Fine." I said against my better judgment. "Come on we're going to the mall. Find you something to wear."

What the hell did I get myself into.
