Alice pov

i tryed to call after adam after he ran out but once i got to the hall he was gone.

i walked back into class and sat next to adams empty desk.

"perfectest girl in the world? yeah i guess thats just 100% accurate considering the fact i push everyone away.." i mummbled under my breathe. chance, adams friend walked in and looked to my then the seat next to me, the teacher looked to chance

"may i help you young man" she said in a false niceness tone

"Where is adam?" was all chance said. the teacher shrugged and turned back to her computer.

"he got angry and ran out" i said my voice a soft tone. chance nodded and dashed out the door.

again leaving me to a world of hate and pain.

The teacher stood up and began to talk about todays lesson, but i tuned her out. I put my headphones in my ears and pulled out my note book and pencil. Music flooded from the earbuds as i sketched the woods behind the school. I zoned out as i sketched and didnt notice the bell ring signalling the end of first period, till my teacher came up and tapped my shoulder.

"Alice class is over." Her voice was quite compared to the music playing, so i pulled out an earbud.

"huh?" i asked

"Class is over." she glanced down at my drawing and smiled, "you're quite an artist Alice." she turned and walked back towards her desk at i pack my things away. I stood up and sighed.

I cant stay in school today, i just cant.

I walked towards the doors that led to the forrest and bolted to the treeline.

Chances pov

"what are you doing where are you??!" i shouted to adam through our mind link. i didnt get a reply so i took off into the woods quickly shifting into my giant blonde wolf. I ran after Adams scent following it until a familiar scent driffted towards me. I imidiatly relized the scent and ran harder, faster in search of Adam.

"ADAM!!" I yelled through mind link. No answer caused me to relized Kyler, Adams wolf, must be in control. I yelled in my alpha voice through the link. "KYLER! WHERE ARE YOU"

Finally I got a reply, as faint as it was I knew Kyler was in control. A chill ran down my spine as Kylers voice was filled with fear. "Please.."

I ran faster towards his scent. The familiar scent that i smelt earlier had drifter further into the woods, where as Adams turned back towards the school.

Adams scent was stronger now as i knew i was closer, i slowed to a trot as i came up to his large black wolf. I felt my bones crack and morph into my human form as adams did the same. He cringed in pain as his shoulder bled contrasting against his pale skin. he looked up to me, his eyes not being their normal stormy grey eyes, but instead Kylers glowing green ones. I thanked the goddess above that we had our charms on our necklaces because if we didnt we both would be nude.

"Kyler let Adam be incontrol." I said in my alpha voice. reluctantly Kyler listened and the glowing yellow eyes swirled to a stormy grey.

"Chance..." Adam said, his voice raspy and in pain.

"What happened?" I asked kneeling down to examine the wound. it was deep but it would heal, we just had to get the bullet out.

"The detective... he was out here..." Adam clenched his teeth as i moved his shoulder slightly, "He had a gun and he shot me."

I cringed at the thought.

"We need to get out of here..." I looked around the woods and sniffed the air,I smelt a slight scent of rain and wet roses, but thought nothing of it as I helped Adam up, him clutching his arm to his chest.

The leaves and twigs infront of us began to crunch as someone approached I froze and glanced around, but the person was already infront of us.
