" Manik i now have to move on. My mom want this and i have already hurt her. I can't hurt her more. I have to do this for my family, for their respect. May this is something meant to be. " He gaped at me! Okay i know i was being cheesy that time but that's what i think. My mom want this. He blink his eyes at me and smiles. And at that moment i felt like he was assuring me. Assuring me that he will be always there. I know now we, me and he. We both have to be together. I smile at him too. And we both walk out.
I can feel the energy all around. My mom running from one place to another for my engagement. Duh, right today am gonna be his fiancé. I can see he was happy too. His eyes were shining. Am I giving him happiness? Okay. If yes. Than i will never take this away from him.
" Nandini beta come here. " his mom literally pulls me to her friends. They smile as i greet them kindly. Manik comes beside us too and greets them sweetly. He was really a kind person know.
Later we exchanged rings and we were engaged. I was his fiancé now and everyone was happy. Well, somewhere i was happy too. I won't lie here. This man was giving me peace being around. And that was weird. May be that's what god have planned for me. Him! But i still miss arnav. I loved him right. I feel sad but than happy too. Manik is better person though. More kind and understanding than arnav. Later manik and his family were gone with all the guests too after having food. Mukti dii was really happy and was chirping around. Every one was happy. You know i would just push myself in hell to see their happy faces. But than manik was heaven. Yes he was. I felt him to be peace.
" Dii. Manik ka number hai aapke paas? " I swayed my hair in air to show that i was not so much interested in his number. Okay i have to act now.
" Kyu? " she spoke raising her brows. Damn seriously he is my fiancé for sake of god. I give her dirty look and my next target was mom. I know she will give me.
" Arey, nandini come beta! " she was going to sleep may be. I enter in her room smiling and sat beside her. She looked at me guilty. May be for last fight we had. Well i was at fault too.
" Am sorry Nandini. I am forcing you par beta mera vishwash karo manik ek bhot acha ladka hai. He will keep you happy. " i just don't wanted to speak at that moment so i just nodded my head smilingly. I know he was good.
" Mom, mujhe..aah, mujhe manik ka number chahiye. " she smiled at me. Oh! God! How happy she is. I will never let this smile go mumma. She said she will message me. I kissed here and went away to my room. Okay now i got his number. But why did i ask for his number god!! I should talk know. Well i was manaing myself to talk to him. Haha, that's so weird Nandini.
" Hello manik? " believe me if i say my heart is throbbing right now. I called him right back when i got his number and he picked it up in third ring.
" Nandini? " he says with a doubt obviously. Okay he knew it's me. He know me quite well.
" Umm, haan. Mai Nandini. How are you? "
" Am fine. It's been just three hours and you already miss me. " i can sense him teasing me. What manik malhotra teases tooo? Wow. I felt my cheeks cheating as i smiled.
" Umm, woh i wanted to ask if we can meet today. Umm, dinner with me? " i was seriously getting mad now. Did i just i ask him for dinner. Oh! God.
" Yes, of course. What time? " He said happily. He wanted to meet me too.
" Umm, today pick me at 8. "
" Fine. Be ready. " i mumbles an okay and about to cut the call when " Namdini! " he was unsure obviously. " Haan. " " Thank you, for everything. " " Welcome manik. " I wanted to have all the credit of saying yes for the engagement. This was actually very brave of me.
" Am waiting outside! " my body shivered as i saw his message. I smiled unknowingly and throwing last look at myself i went out. Giving mom a kiss and good teasing session from my family I finally stood beside him. I wonder why he was not coming inside. I looked at him smiling and he did same.
" umm, you look gorgeous! " " I know! " Okay! That was rude of me! He chuckles and we both were driving away soon. I was actually looking beautiful know.
