Chapter 2~ The Mates

Valerie's POV~

It was Saturday and I was gonna take Xiumin, Chanyeol, Yeonhee, Kyungsoo, and Tao to the skate park. On Monday, when I found out Kyungsoo was a hybrid I freaked out. He then calmed me down and we talked. He spent the full moon with us, as did the others. The humans took care of any neighbors if needed. But, back to now,  We just arrived and I went to get my knee and shoulders pads. I was wearing denim shorts and t loose tank top that said "wolf pack" on it, and converse sneakers. I had my longboard and I started to put on my pads.

"Valley! Welcome back." I heard my friend Mathias yell, skating over on his rollerblades.

"Hey Mathias. These are my friends. You know Yeonhee from the diner. This is Xiumin, Chanyeol, Kyungsoo and Tao." I smiled.

Both Yeonhee and I worked at a diner on the main street of our town. We worked weekdays after school for a few hours. The boys waved and I went up to Yeonhee.

"Wanna try my board?" I asked, holding out my board to her.

"Sure." She answered, grabbing my board.

I gave her my board and got her a helmet, and shoulder and knee pads. I asked if she wanted to use the more beginner ramps, and she said yea. So me, Yeonhee, and Chanyeol went to the ramp. I started by helping her keep balance and she was pretty good. She went to the ramps and we started on the bigger ramp but the drop was a bit, too advanced. Me and the others were at the top, and when she fell off the board, Chanyeol shot down to help her, and when he got her up, they stared at each other, both their faces reddening. I turned to the guys, and smirked.

"So, when do you think they'll hook up? I give it a week." I pondered.

"A day or two." Xiumin betted.

"A month." Tao predicted.

"Half a month." Kyungsoo smirked.

"Or now." Mathias pointed to the pair.

Their faces were very close, both their hearts beating fast. I listened in on them and heard, "You are my mate. We are bonded." It was Chanyeol whispering to her.

She leaned forward and kissed him. I started to cheer and they broke apart, blushing madly.

"WOOOOOOO!" The boys cheered.

"So then when will you YouKnowWho get together, hmmm?" Yeonhee teased, "I've read your thoughts Val."

"SHUT UP YEONHEE!!" I screamed.

"OOOooooOOoooOoO. WHOOOO?" Tao yelled.

"No." I simply said, glaring at Yeonhee.

I showed them some tricks and we hung out with Mathias and the group met my other friend Haneen, a witch that helps Wolfbloods and Lycans control their powers. We hung out till Chanyeol and Tao started whining about being hungry. We left the park and headed for the diner. As we were walking there, some creep decided to comment on mine and Yeonhee's outfits. She was wearing a knee length skirt and a tee shirt, but it was apparently enough to be catcalled.

"Hey babes. Wanna come join me for a good time?" This man looked about 45, and he was hitting on a 18 year old, and a 16 year old!!

"How about no." I said, urging the group onward.

The man grabbed Yeonhee's arm and tried to pull her back and also grab me. Key word on Tried. Chanyeol wasn't having none of that. He reached out and tried to tear away the guys arm, growling possessively, but when he reached out, the creep's jacket caught on fire! It slightly burnt Yeonhee but the creep ran away, screaming like a child. Chanyeol looked at his hand, shocked.

"Call me an earthquake because I AM SHOOK." Tao clapped.

Xiumin offered to call the police and report it but Yeonhee insisted she was fine.

"I'm so sorry I burnt you. I didn't know I could do that. I guess I got my power." Chanyeol said to Yeonhee.

"I'm fine Yeollie." She said, then winced when I gently grabbed her arm to look.

"Mishelle's brother Caleb has the power to heal.I can take you to him." I offered, and she accepted.

We approached the Jones' house and I knocked. Mrs. Jones opened the door.

"Valerie, Yeonhee, Boys. What are you doing here? Mishelle is at the Mall with Kakona." she asked.

"We are here for Caleb. Yeonhee was grabbed by some creep and Chanyeol used his new power and accidentally burnt her." I explained as she let us in.

"CALEB MARCOB JONES" She yelled up the stairs, and he came running down.

"What?" he asked, annoyed.

"A little less bitching, a little more healing." I sassed, gesturing to Yeonhee's arm

He healed it and we were having lunch with the Jones' when we heard Chen, Kai, and Mishelle yelling for Caleb, suddenly in the living room. We heading into the room and saw Kai Chen holding up a bloodied and beaten Kakona, while a sobbing Mishelle whimpered.

"Caleb HELP!"
