Chapter 3~ The Attack

Valerie's POV~

As Caleb was healing Kakona I went to Mishelle and Chen.

"Where did Kai go?" I asked, looking at Chen cleaning cuts on Mishelle's face.

"He went to get the rest of our pack." He said, side smiling at me and, starting to apply neosporin on Mishelle.

I smiled softly as he said "our pack." I never really had a pack. Me, Kakona, and the Jones' were like a pack, but I've only known them for 2 years. My mother was moved to another prison and I moved closer, to this town. I went back to the living room, I saw Kakona awake, fully healed. I ran over and hugged her, tangling my fingers and arms into her long blonde hair. She groaned and laughed,hugging me back.

"What happened?" I heard Lay's voice echo through the house. He ran in and kneeled to be level with Kakona, looking into her eyes.

"We were all at the mall when I caught the scent of Lycans that weren't from our pack. So we went to investigate. We got to Covington Woods and I went ahead of the others and I got jumped."

I started growling angrily and shot up and looked at the pack.

"I don't know about you, but I'm going to show them whose territory this is." I said, most of the pack nodding with me.

We left the humans and Mr. and Mrs. Jones at the house. We went out to Covington Woods, on the way I went to Yeonhee and Chanyeol.

"You guys ready to fight? Chanyeol you can use your power." I spoke.

"Yeah, anything for the pack. And for my mate." He said, wrapping his long arm around Yeonhee, causing her face to flush, I smiled at them, my mind wishing it was me and Xiumin.

"Val, don't worry, he likes you too. Sooner or Later this will be you guys as well and then we can go on double dates." Yeonhee smiled.

"So, you and Xiumin, huh?" Chanyeol smirked, eyebrow raised.

"Shut up Yoda." I groaned.

"Ya!" He replied, hand on his chest, faking a dramatic gasp.

All of a sudden I was hit with the stink of unfamiliar Lycan. I rushed to the front of the group, growling lowly. We entered the woods, and we heard the sounds of feet running, circling around us.

"Come out you mutts." I yelled.

"We are not Mutts, you prissy dogs." A low voice rumbled, in front of me.

A woman with very short blue hair came into view. I gasped as I realized this was the Lycan pack that my father fought with, this was the alpha,her scent was the strongest.

"Gi Hyun, we meet again." I growled.

"Valerie McNabb." She roared.

A male came up beside her, tall and ghostly pale, his red eyes trained on Yeonhee.

"Can we keep that one, she looks delicious." He smirked, purring.

I heard Chanyeol growling, his eyes turning red, moving to stand in front of Yeonhee.

"THAT IS MY MATE!!! DON'T YOU DARE DO ANYTHING TO HER!!" His voice echoed through the air.

The man started growling and pounced on Chanyeol, and they started fighting. Yeonhee quickly pulled the man off of Chanyeol and threw his ass into a tree.

"Keep your thoughts to yourself pervert." She sneered.

"Lycans, attack! How dare you and your pack treat us like this." Gi Hyun yelled, and her and I started fighting.

After a while of fighting, I heard the scream of a pack member and I threw Gi Hyun a few yard away and quickly ran to Help.

What I saw, was a transformed Lycan with a wolfblood between its Jaws. I felt a surge of power go through me and I put my hands up, causing the side of the Lycan to combust, causing him to drop one of my pack members. He slinked away and I ran up to the detransforming wolfblood. I was shocked as I scream out.

"CHEN!"
