Chapter 4- Changing Phases

Valerie's POV~

Kyungsoo, Yeonhee, and I had to rush Chen back as fast we could as the others were finishing off GiHyun's pack. My eyes were clouded with tears as we came back to the Jones', calling for the tall healer.

"Valerie! What happened?" Xiumin came up to me, grasping my face gently and looking into my eyes.

I broke down and starting sobbing into his arms. Kyungsoo explained what had happened to the humans of the pack.

"Valerie is affected with this greatly, since she is the Alpha of your pack" Mrs. Jones explained.

"They- They-They" Anger ripped through me as I felt the same power surge, and then suddenly the lights in the living room blew up, causing everyone in the room to duck down.

"What is that?" I asked.

"Your power," Yeonhee said, "When I first got mine, I thought I was going crazy because I could hear everyone's thoughts."

"I healed all the external wounds, but the Lycan inject the venom into him." Caleb said wiping his hands.

"So what does that mean?" Yeonhee asked, sitting next to me and Xiumin, who had moved me to the couch.

"It means he will either die or become a hybrid like me, but becoming a hybrid is more likely." Kyungsoo chimed in.

The rest of the pack came in, some with minor injuries, some with major. The one's whom were hurt badly went to Caleb. Chanyeol had a few scratches on his face, a bloody nose, and a split lip. Yeonhee instantly grabbed the first aid kit Mr. Jones brought out, and instantly, went to her mate. I went over to her and him, and sat down next to the tall Lycan.

"Yeollie are you okay?" She said, grabbing alcohol wipes and dabbing it on his cheek, causing the redhead to wince and hiss.

"I'm fine, you should see the other guy," He smiled, causing her heartbeat to quicken, "Plus no one says that about my mate."

"Well then you definitely don't want to know what he was thinking." Yeonhee muttered, going from cleaning his cuts to wiping the blood from his nose.

He grabbed the hand that was on his face and looked into her eyes. They both stopped what they were doing and started to lean in.

"Really Val, way to ruin the moment." Yeonhee broke the eye contact and glared at me.

"What did I do?" I asked, feigning innocence.

"Screaming 'My Ship Has Sailed' in your head is very assuming, but very distracting to a mind reader." She laughed.

I smiled, and Xiumin came over and sat down, wrapping his around me. He was about to say something, we heard a male voice screaming.

"It's Chen!" We ran into the other room to see Kyungsoo kneeling in front of him.

"What's happened?" I asked, panicking.

"He's changing, Becoming a Lycan is very painful when you first change. Since he was already a Wolfblood, to stabilize him, he will need to drink Lycan blood and Wolfblood blood." Kyungsoo said.

"I'll give him my blood." I said, grabbing a knife from the kitchen.

"Val, what are you doing?" Xiumin said, stepping in front of me.

"I'm the pack Alpha, this is something I have to do." I told him. He stepped aside and I approached the thrashing teenager.

Chanyeol approached next to me and held out his hand. I slid the knife across my hand, wincing as the blade sliced my tan skin. Kyungsoo held Chen still and opened his mouth and I clenched my fist, letting my blood seep into his mouth. Chanyeol then did the same, and Chen stopped thrashing.

"There. He should come to as a Hybrid in a few minutes or hours, depends on the person." Kyungsoo said, getting up.

Chanyeol and I went over to Yeonhee and Xiumin. Xiumin grabbed my hand and started to clean the excess blood away.

"I'm fine. I heal quick remember?" I smirked as he looked worriedly into my eyes.

"It just hurts me to see you hurt." He smiled.

He finished cleaning the cut and bandaged my hand. We went over to Yeonhee and Chanyeol, the former sitting in the latter's lap, nuzzling up to his neck. I smiled at them and sat in between them and Xiumin. Xiumin grabbed my hand and I looked over into his dark eyes. He smiled and I felt my heartbeat quicken.

"Alright you two, just confess already! Your thoughts are so sappy and cringe worthy." Yeonhee groaned and laughed, making Chanyeol kiss her reddening cheek.

"Well I-"

"Chen's waking up!!" Kris yelled to us.

He was only groaning and shifting on the makeshift gurney we made out of the coffee table. All of a sudden his eyes opened, showing a glowing orange hue.
