Chapter 2

Amy's p.o.v.

A few minutes after Knuckle's arrival, everyone else started to pile in. Sonic, Shadow, Rouge, Cream, Tails, Vector, Espio, and Charmy. Even Blaze and Silver decided to drop in! Insisting that they could never miss out on any of our birthdays. As everyone walked in, they dropped off their gifts at the table and would usually talk to me for a while for drifting off doing their own thing. I spent most of my time socializing with Shadow and Silver, since they are like brothers to me. I'm closer to Shadow since I see him more often than Silver, but that doesn't mean that I don't love Silver any less. We were mainly catching up on one another, and questioning how the future is now for him.

"On a unrelated note, how are you and Blaze," I winked as he flushed red.

"Oh u-uh.. We're good," he stammered.

Besides teasing Silver, I actually was interested in how their relationship was going. "Have you asked her to be your girl yet?"

"Y-yeah," he grinned. "She said yes." I squealed and gave him a quick hug as Shadow pat him on the back. "Oh enough about me, how are you and that knucklehead?" he smirked. Now it was my turn to blush.

"What do you mean?" I asked trying to keep myself calm.

"Oh you know what he means," Shadow chuckled.

I sighed, knowing I'm caught. "Alright, alright. What do you want to know?"

"Does he know?"

"No, I hope not."

"You should tell him."

"Are you crazy?!" I exclaimed.

"Look, I told Blaze and now we're together."

"But I don't want to..."

"I think he deserves to know, he's still your friend you know", Shadow chimed in.

I thought it over carefully. Maybe I should tell him? "Ugh I hate when you guys are right."

"It's better than giving you bad advice that'll scree you over," he playfully shot back.

"Yeah, yeah," I smiled. I loved times like this when I can just relax and be with my closest friends. Times like these are what I cherish most. As I was about to ask them when I should tell Knuckles, he walked by! My heart was thumping, time around us froze, and I was watching him in slow motion. He sent me a smile that made me feel warm and happy inside. As I was swooning over him, I didn't realize that he was already gone, and Shadow and Silver were trying to get my attention.

They gave me a look saying I should tell him soon. And I actually agreed.
