Cassy tried to sit upright ,but her arms and her limbs felt like jelly ,those 4 rogues came to her with a big smirk on their faces.Damn she thought,is it going to be the end of her.She finally found her mate,and she started falling for him and finally when she wanted to be with him ,this happens.Great all this because of her stupidity,she should have brought her gun,or called mike from the payphone or emmanuel,sammy or her other team,she could have got gabriels number when she was with him.
No she didnt she had to act upon her instinct ,she wanted to save that girl and she was confident she could handle herself,but what do you know nothing goes easy as planned.However strong we are there is always someone stronger and smarter than us.Who would have thought she would find rogues in this place.
Finally she just smiled at them,as something dawned her on her mind,as her thoughts wandered again around her mate.
"What's so funny bitch" the guy named jin spoke to her with his eye brows raised.
"I was just thinking" she chuckled,"I was just thinking what will happen to you all when my mate finds you"she chuckled again trying to control her laughter."He will make you guys wish that you were never born,he will make your death as painful as it could be"
"Mate ,you are not claimed i can smell you,you lying bitch,are you trying to scare us or something,because it is not working and we are not scared of your stupid mate" he said, and kicked her on her stomach ,making cassy spit out blood and made her breathless.
"Dont jin i told you hayden doesnt like his toys damaged" the other guy warned him.
Cassy spat out blood "Dont worry about me you worthless shit,you better worry about yourselves ,and you should be terrified because by the time when gabriel finds what happened to me ,probably by tomorrow you will be hunted,you will be hunted like rabid dogs" she said it smiling at them.
"Shut up" the other guy scowled,and lost his temper he raised his hand to slap her.
"I wouldnt do that if i were you" a voice came from the entrance of the alley,making him freeze.All the four rogues turned their heads to see the guy who interrupted them.
Cassy's vision was fading, at any moment she would go unconscious,with every pounce of will and strength she used to turn her head at the entrance to see the man who came to help her,his voice sounded familiar.
It was dark but she saw more than one man ,may be it was the effect of the drug making her vision improper.The man or men walked towards them,she could hear the rogues sniffing the air and their faces show a little panic.Shifters ,she thought,was it gabriel,has her mate come to her rescue.But it wasnt unlikely,she was not claimed,only claimed mates have the connection,and that voice,it wasnt his,she was sure.Or may be his subordinates caeser or cecille she wondered but the chances were slim too.
She also knew,that she was not in his territory,if she was no one would even think of hurting another person,especially a woman.As the man approached into the dim light of a bulb cassy strained her eyes to see her rescuer.Her eyes went wide in shock.No way,why would he,but how did he ,arrgggh why was the senators son DARREN here and why would he indulge himself to rescue her.
He wasnt alone,no ,there were about 4 men behind him or more she wasnt sure.They didnt look like the secret service,they looked Russian,she saw a twins standing behind darren.Yikes she thought,they were huge about 7 feet tall ,they looked like a minotaur.The others she couldnt make their features properly out in the dark.
Her eyes slowly closed shut,but she used her every ounce of energy she had left to keep them open but she couldnt.But she could hear them speak ,barely,but still she could hear them.
"I dont know who the hell you are just leave ,it is none of your business".Jin spoke.
"Oh i am sorry it is my business ,just leave the girls and walk out of here,before i lose my patience"Darren spoke as if annoyed.
"No way ,she belongs to Hayden of the Jayden's rogues buddy,you better not mess with us" the other rogue spoke.
She could hear darren let out a sigh "She doesnt belong to any one you morons,even if she belongs to someone ,she belongs to my brother".
WHAT,wait, his BROTHER,did i hear it right ,he said i belonged to his brother,what the hell is going on,cassy thoughts flooded again,wasnt his brother dead.Was he a psychopath like his dead brother,did he find out whether gabriel and i were mates.Maybe he wanted to take revenge for his brother.But why bother to save her then.
Oh may be this sick bastard wanted to hurt her personally for avenging his brother,oh great she thought,from one sick bastard to another.For a second she thought she was safe ,now she is back to square one.She is going to die a slow ,painful death.But hey ,atleast gabriel wont be pissed at her,because if she had died at the hayden's guys hand he would have cursed her for being stupid,but if she dies at the senators hands it would be because of gabriels fault,it would be an act of revenge.
Yeah she smiled internally,atleast the guilt card will be on gabriel,oh great i am becoming a sadist now rhetorically thinking of hurting my mysterious mates feelings,she wondered.
She passed to the dreamless world,but before she did she could hear crackling of bones,probably someone was shifting,and everything blackened.
