*Crissy*
I picked up my phone to text my best friend Sara.
I don't think he likes me...
I put my phone back in my pocket and Jake walked in.
"Hey Crissy" he says sitting at the bar counter in the kitchen.
"Hey Jake.. so um.. has he always been grumpy?" I ask as I close the binder.
"He's paralyzed... he's been in that chair for a long while, Crissy" he says, "he misses doing what he did that he loved."
Hm.. I guess that's reasonable.
After me and Jake talked, he had to go to another patient that was waiting on him. I signed and open the doors to Luke's sitting room.
"Ms. Sanders?" He asks.
"Yes sir" I say walking toward his chair.
"Sit" he demands.
I do so and he turns to look at me. He smiles a bit and talks about himself.
"As you know, I am paralyzed. I was a wealthy banker.. very wealthy. My girlfriend couldn't handle me being paralyzed so she left me.. Ms. Sanders, I live a miserable life."
My heart sunk so low.. I want to make him happy as possible.
"Is there anything I can do.. Luke?" I ask looking into his eyes.
"No" he says coldly.
