Chapter 12: A Miracle, But A Loss

Baekhyun's POV:

As I heard the long beeping sound stop. The nurses looked at each other, and moved out of the way so we could see her.

"Patient Kim Taeyeon. Time o-" The doctor said before getting interrupted.

Beep~ Beep~ Beep~

I was in shock. I watched Taeyeon open her eyes.

"Miracles do happen," one of the nurses said out loud.

"Taeyeon!" all of the girls shouted.

"Ouch, not so loud," Taeyeon said holding her head. She blinked a few times and looked at us with clueless eyes. "Where am I? Who are you people?" she asked looking at each of us.

"You don't know us?" Seohyun said quietly.

"Doctor what's wrong with her?!" Jessica yelled at the doctor concerned. I walked over to Taeyeon and helped her sit up. I stared into her eyes as she looked at me cluelessly.

"Do you remember me?" I asked. She shook her head no. I took a step away from her. I felt like my heart was shot.

"She need some rest, so can you please leave," the doctor said looking at the group of us. We all left one by one.

Taeyeon's POV:

I watched each of them leave one by one. Then the doctor looked towards me.

"What's wrong with me?" I asked looking at the doctor.

"You were in a coma for a week form a car crash. It seems like the impact on your head made you lose your memories. I'm sorry, but you might've lost them forever. Then again there is a chance you will remember your family," the doctor said looking at me. Then he left silently.

 Forever? Who were those people? They looked around my age.. I thought to myself. I stood up and walked towards my closed window. I opened and saw outside. It hurt my eyes at first, but then my eyes got adjusted to it. Then I heard my door open and saw a man walk in. He didn't look young enough to be a classmate.

"Taeyeon?" I heard the man say.

"Who are you?" I asked looking at the man.

"You don't remember Appa?" he said still looking at me. I ran over and hugged him. I felt tears come out.

"I'm scared. I don't know anything," I said pulling away and wiping my tears.

"It's okay, let's go home," he said walking out of the the room holding onto my hand. We got into his car and drove to someplace. Once I got out I saw the house. Then someone covered my eyes. Without controlling my body, I brought my elbow up and swung it backwards hoping I hit something. When I felt the impact on the person I turned around then kicked them in their stomach.

"Ow," the boy on the ground said.

"Mark, we know you are happy to see your girlfriend out of the hospital, but slow down," my dad said to me.

Boyfriend? Oh, so Mark was my boyfriend before the accident. I thought to myself. He got off from the ground and smiled.

"I was just seeing if your protective skills still work," he said still smiling. We walked into the house.

"This is your home," my dad said smiling to me. I went to look around. As I was looking I found a picture of a man and the boy in my hospital room. Then my dad came to me and saw me looking at the pictures.

"Who are these people?" I asked.

"Oh, you found that picture. The man is who killed your mother when you were younger, and the boy tried to kill you in your past. We are planning on getting revenge on them," he said looking at the pictures. I felt anger rise up in me.

"Can I lead the revenge?" I asked my father with anger in my voice still looking at the pictures. 

"Sure, but remember I will be by your side," my dad said looking at me. I walked out of the room and continued to explore the house. After a while I found a training ground and I went inside. I saw Mark on a mat practicing punches. I started kicking a punching bag to release some of my anger, also since I couldn't punch it with the cast on my arm.

"Hey, Taeyeon do you want to practice with me?" I heard Mark say. I turned and looked at him.

"Sure," I said walking over to him. 

"I'm practicing my hand combat, so I was hoping you could help me wi-" I interrupted him.

"Are you ready or are you not?" I said watching him. I saw him blush and he got in a stance to fight. He threw a punch, but I was quick and I dodged it and grabbed his arm. Before he could react I put it behind his back. He then used his foot to swipe my legs out from under me. I fell to the ground and I faked a groan.

"Taeyeon are yo-" he said, but I grabbed his foot and made him fall to the ground. I then got up and fixed my clothing.

"Never ask an opponent if they are okay," I said walking to the exit of the training room.

"Taeyeon! Wait!" he yelled. I turned to look at him. "Would you like to go out later?"

"Sure," I said walking out of the room. I went around and found a room. When I walked inside I saw a girl that looked a lot younger than me.

"Unni! Are you okay?" she asked me. I nodded my head yes. Then I was caught off guard when she ran over to hug me.

"Do you know where my room is?" I asked when pulled away. She nodded and pulled me to a room ring next to her's. When I opened the door I saw my walls are painted blue. I walked to my closet I found an outfit.

"Do you like it?" she asked happily.

"I do! Thank you," I said taking out the outfit. She closed the door and I changed into it. When I finished changing I looked in the mirror. I was wearing a white T-shirt with a black jacket, and black pants. Then I heard a knock at my door.

"Come in," I responded to the knock. Then I saw Mark come in.

"Are you ready to go?" he asked smiling. I nodded and we got into a car. When I sat down and watched the road I noticed Mark was smiling and looked over at me time to time.

"Why are you smiling?"

"I'm sorry, it's just you look really pretty today," Mark said while blushing. We finally got to this mall he wanted to take me to. As we walked in Mark decided to crack a joke, but since he wasn't really that good at them I still laughed. Then I saw the boy from the hospital and one of the girls who was there talking. I stopped and watched them talk. They were walking towards us still looking at each other.

Even though Mark is my boyfriend, I don't feel the spark between us. It's odd, but seeing the boy and the girl together makes my heart ache a little, I thought to myself. Then the boy locked eyes with me.

"Taeyeon?"
