"Do you like your birthday party?"I ask Max.
"Yea."He says sipping his drink.
"I promise nothing will ruin your birthday party as long as I'm here."I say making a promise.
"Thanks Shelbs,but no need to go extreme.It is just a birthday party,nothing bad is going to happen."He says smiling then going back to being nonchalant.
"Expect Tyler is here and you guys are like dead to each other."I mutter so Max can't hear.
"Huh?"Max says looking somewhere in the House.
"Oh it was nothing."I say
"I mean,Is that Tyler?"He says,pointing to the devil.
"Uh,No.Phtt.You are probably just imaging."I say covering up the situation with a lie.
"Uh Okay.I am going to get cake."He says walking over to the kitchen where Tyler was.
I grab Max by the shoulder and make him face me."Why don't you open your presents?Over on the opposite side of the kitchen?"
"Presents!"He says all kid-like.
"Aww.You are so adorable."I say awwing.
"I know I am."Max says all sassy.
He walks over to the presents like a model.
I sigh as I just lied to my boyfriend.I mean it is for the greater good.Right?
