~~Chapter Eight~~
~~Brandons Pov~~
Did Erik just..."Did you just.....?"
"I teleported!" he said looking exciting. Erik was sometimes strange before. Guess that didn't change. He was about to throw the other one but I stopped him in time, "Wait! That could be important. You should keep it just in case."
"Hm, I guess you're right, alright I'll keep it for now." he said putting it in his pocket.
"Good, now lets eat, I'm getting hungry." I said grabbing steak out of the oven.

The next morning was just like any other, somewhat normal morning. But little did I know this day would be different. I went out alone to go mining with a pick-axe. I found a cave and cleared out all the monsters. Then I set some torces, [That's How I Say Torches,] so more wouldn't come back. Finally I started to mine. I brought an extra crafting bench and oven since I now knew how everything worked here. I mined. and mined but found nothing but more stone, coal, and some iron. But then my luck got a thousand times better. I found a big cave with lots of iron and gold. But then I saw it. The light blue color told me what it was. Diamonds! Brandon had told me about diamonds. How extremely rare they were and really difficult to find. I made a safe way down while setting torces and killing monsters that protected the cave. As I got to the diamonds I mined at the stone around it to get a better look and to see how much there was.
I mined at a certain block that was a little easier and quicker. Then I found out.
"Hey buddy, get your own diamonds, I found these first!" they yelled at me.
~~Unknown Pov~~
I started mining to get away from all the mobs. I mined and mined for a while in my stair formation. mined for a pretty long time. Then, I hit the jackpot. With it's shiny blue glow I knew that I found diamonds. I wanted to scream, but I wasn't sure if there was a cave filled with mobs nearby. I held it in and started to mine around it to count how much I found. I mined up a piece of stone that went pretty quick then usual. After I mined it I saw some guy who looked about my age. Probably trying to steal my diamonds!
"Hey buddy, get your own diamonds, I found these first!" I snapped at him.
He looked a little surprised. He didn't know know what to say, looked like he was frozen in place. then he finally said something.
"Hey do I, know you, from somewhere?"
I took a second look at him. He did look pretty familiar.
"I'm not sure. Maybe." I said.
We studied each other for awhile until he broke the silence again.
"Did we... go to the same school, or something?"
I snapped my fingers with excitement, "That's where I know you from! In 5th grade, ERIK!"
"DAKOTA!" he said.
I mined the second block blocking us and jumped up and hugged him.
"I'm glad there's someone else that I know here." I said letting go.
"Well it's not just me here. Come on, I'll show back to my place." he said walking to some steps.
"Wait, what about the diamonds?" I asked.
"Oh yeah, lets get them now and then leave."
"Ok."
We each mined some diamond with our pick-axes.
"How much did you get?" he asked me.
"About three, you?"
"Same, that's good for now. Come on, follow me." he said heading back to the steps.
~~Eriks Pov~~
On the way back it was night time. Probably about midnight. Dakota staid behind me for cover. Was I a shield to her? Well I knew is that she's scared. But what she doesn't know, is that so am I. When we got back I saw a couple of sheep near the house. I killed them and collected there wool. We quietly snuck inside without waking Brandon. I quietly told her I'll explain everything in the morning and made her a bed. She laid down and quickly fell asleep. I did the same. But before I fell asleep I looked back at Dakota. An image of my first nightmare appeared in my head. I shook my head and quickly went to sleep.
