Chapter 26

Ava's POV
Tomorrow was the dance. Today is Friday. It was 7:03. I was on my phone texting my friends in a group chat. We were talking about tomorrow. I got my dress and I love it so much. I was about to head to the bus stop. I got my shoes on and then my phone went off. I looked at it and saw I got a text from Blake. "Hey, hope you have a AWESOME day❤️" I read the text. "Thanks you too💕" I texted and headed out.
Blake's POV
I texted Ava and she did suspect a thing. Today I was leaving to Chicago. I have this whole set up. Cameron is going to meet me at the airport in Chicago. Then he is going to stay for the night and leave the next day. Cameron contacted Ava's friends and told them everything so they know. Ava was going to be at the nail salon getting her nails done for tomorrow and I'll get to her house and we will wait for her and surprise her. I was nervous but also excited to see her. It was 10:40. I was just hanging out till I had to leave.
Ava's POV
After 5 class periods It was time for lunch. I went to my locker to get up lunch. My friends were waiting by my locker. I went up to them. "Hey" i said. They all smiled and giggled. I was confused but I just went with it. I opened my locker and there were flowers and a card. All my friends giggles and looked over somewhere. Jake was talking to his friends and looking at me. I didn't know what to do. "Open the card!" One of my friends said. I looked at the card and I was pink. And there was a heart. I was so nervous. I opened the card and it said inside. "Hey Ava, turn around..." I turned around and Liam was standing right behind me. "Will you go to homecoming with me?" He asked. All my friends were giggling and laughing. I was so scared. I looked at him and his smile left his face. He saw the tears in my eyes. I walked away. And then walking turned into running. I ran to the only place nobody would know I was. I went to the music room. Nobody was in heat during lunch. I sat in the corner were there was the drum set. I cried. Why didn't my friends know that I'm still with Blake?! The more I thought of it I cried more. Behind the door I can hear my friends calling my name. I stayed quiet and eventually they left. I wanted to go home, and not go to the dance, not after what happened today...
