I was waiting in a room where the pearl was. To be honest I'm very nervous. 2 more minutes and he would appear. I wonder...why did he challenge me...well I guess he just wanted some fun.
I was lost in my thoughts 💭 then suddenly I heard glass break. It was the window. The little pieces of shattered glass were all on the floor. I saw a shadow and quickly turned my head to its direction. As simple as it is, it was just a ballon in the thief's shape with a beautiful white cloak and a hat. Seconds later my attention was all on the pearl, it was still there.
And again something happened, and this time it was bad. The whole room was full of smoke.
- Sleeping gas. - Quickly I took a mask from my bag I had with me. I put it on and started to look for the little thief.
- Looks like Ms. Detective came prepared.- said a mysterious voice
- Of course. Now don't hide and come out...Kaito Kid.
- Why don't you find me, O great detective Rose. - he said, I couldn't see him but I had a feeling he was smirking.
- Why should I - I said while pointing to a guard. - I already did.
As fast as I could, I ran and caught him, he used the smoke bomb again, but this time I wasn't with my mask because he took it from me. Luckily I had a spare just in case.
- Hmmmm...smart...but look the pearl's already gone.
- What?!- I looked back and it wasn't there anymore. Of course he must have an accomplice or something.
- Looks like I win today. Goodbye Anna. - with that he disappeared.
- How does he...whatever, what matters is that he took the pearl...I'll catch you next time...Kaito Kid
