Chapter 7 - Date pt. 2

He opens the door which leads to his house. We both walk in. And what I see is stunning. His house is gorgeous!
- Why don't you go chill in the living room? I'll make get you something to drink. What do you want?- he politely asks.
- Just water is fine. Thanks. - I replied. He bows like a gentlemen and heads to the kitchen. I'm sitting on the couch and it's like paradise.
- What a funny guy. This house...it seems so familiar. - I ignored the feeling and started playing with the pup until I noticed a photograph. An older man and a young boy, maybe around 5 or 6. Next to him was a girl, she looked a lot like Aoko. I suddenly felt my blood boiling inside. Was I...jealous? How can it be? I barely know him. But...I feel like there's a connection between us.

I turn around to see Kaito heading towards me with two glasses of water and cakes.

- Looks delicious. - I stare at the cake with hunger in my eyes. I guess I'm quite hungry. The puppy started to bark.

- I guess he's also hungry - We both chuckle.

After giving the pup its food, Kaito asks me about its name.

- I still didn't give him a name. - I said. Placing my finger in my chin. I start thinking.
- Bobby. - he thought out loud.
- Bobby? Hehe what a funny name.
- Funny? I think it's cool! - he pouted
- Hmmm...what about...Chester? - I asked ignoring his comment.
- Cute name. But I still like Bobby better. - he pouted again.
- Then Chester it is. - I said looking at the puppy. It fits him perfectly.
I look back at the pouting Kaito.
- You want to take a bite of the cake? I made it myself. - he said full of pride.
- Sure!- I basically screamed out of excitement.

We both take a bite of the cake. It's. So. Good.

- This is amazing! Can you teach me?- I begged.
He had a tint of pink in his cheeks. Is he blushing? How cute.

- Of course! I'll give you the recipe. - he leans closer which surprised me. He then whispers.- Keep it a secret, ok?
I blush and start fidgeting my fingers.
- Yeah...ok

After this awkward moment. He told me the recipe and asked if I wanted to come to his house Saturday to bake a cake. Of course, without hesitation, I agreed.

We spent the rest of the afternoon talking about our likes and dislikes. Apparently he hates fish and loves sweets. Hehe...if he ever gets on my bad side, I know what to do. Maybe a cake with fish inside. Ahhhhh I'm so evil.

I glance at the clock and it was 5:45 already!
Time passed so fast!

- Hey Kaito. I have to go. I'll see you at school tomorrow. And Chester is probably tired too.

- Ok, hmmm...can I take you home? - he asked
- Ok, are you sure you don't mind?
- Of course not! Come on.

After a 10 minute walk from his house we arrived. Home sweet home.

- Thanks Kaito! I'll see you tomorrow. - I thanked him and waved.
- Your welcome. See you tomorrow. - he waved back.

I know it's like days away...but I'm so excited about baking a cake! I hope I can talk to him more tomorrow.
