Chapter 5: Pursued

As Isaac rocketed through the air, he looked around until he could find a safe landing point. He flew into a tree and grabbed a branch to take some of the impact away. He then sword scraped his way down the tree until he safely made it to the bottom. "Easy stuff." Isaac said with a grin on his face. He walked for a while, not making eye contact with anyone along the way. Suddenly, heard a quiet rustle in the nearby bushes... Isaac went as quiet as a mouse as he listened for any nearby enemies. An ursa pounced onto Isaac from the bushes, but met its fate fairly quickly as Isaac impaled the beast in mid air. "Alrighty, now where are your buddies?" Isaac said as he looked around, yanking the sword out of the now deceased ursa's body. 3 beowolves quickly ran at Isaac, seemingly coming out of nowhere. He stood his ground and blocked the first beowolve's claws with his shield, and he then kicked it hard in its chest, sending it flying into a nearby tree. They both circled him with bloodlust in his eyes, waiting for Isaac to make the first move. "Alright you fuckers... Time to die!" He said as he dashed forward, chopping one into two pieces. As soon as he did this he turned around to block, but was too late. The beowolf had cut him deep in the chest, the wound already starting to leak blood. Isaac quickly back stepped and then kicked the Grimm's legs out from under it and stabbed it through the heart whilst it was on the ground, effectively ending it.

"Dammit, my shirt is ruined! Fucking Grimm, I hate all of them, the foul creatures..." Isaac cursed to himself as blood seeped through his shirt, making a large red splotch of red. He trotted through the forest, looking for the chess pieces wherever they may be. "Hm, I haven't found anyone, so no partner yet I guess..." Isaac said, a bit disheartened. He really wanted to be on a team with Yang and Ruby, but didn't really want to have anything to do with that heiress girl. She was rude to his friend, so why should he give her a chance? Isaac looked up and saw something white sitting on a pedestal. "That must be it!" Isaac chimed triumphantly to himself. He went up to go and grab it, but something felt...off. Why hasn't he seen anyone, much less hear anyone? And there had only been a few Grimm in the forest, yet Ozpin said it'd be infested by them. He thought to himself, but he just ruled it out to be a strange coincidence. Oh how wrong he was... As soon as he picked up the chess piece, things all went downhill from there. The ground began to shake and there was a murky black cloud on the ground, something...coming out of it. Isaac turned and felt true fear, as he saw a floating man in stout, silver armor with a helmet fitted with a singular eyepiece. 'What the fuck is that...?' Isaac thought to he was scared to death, as he felt that this thing was powerful. The knight also had a huge sword and a massive shield with two gaps in the top and bottom, making it a weird shape. In the blink of an eye, it charged at him using its mighty sword to thrust at Isaac. He barely had time to react and pull up his shield, and when he did, he flew back from the impact of the sword. Isaac shakily got back up and readied his weapon, now determined not to be defeated by this abomination of a knight. The knight hovered in the air and the eye slot in the helmet glowed an eerie red, staring into Isaac's soul. "This is no Grimm... I have to be careful, that fucker's strong..." Isaac said as he readied his sword. Isaac and the knight charged at one another, engaging in fierce combat. They locked blades and Isaac pushed with all that he had and nudged the knight backward a bit, but was then bashed with the shield, cutting his head and nearly cracking his skull. Isaac quickly recovered and landed three swift strikes with his ultra-greatsword and this harmed the beast a little, but not enough, obviously. This is when Isaac realized that he wasn't going to win this fight. Whatever this thing was, it was on a whole different level than was. He got up and started going on the defensive, trying his best to dodge the lethal strikes of the corrupted knight. But, in the end, Isaac was hit hard in the ribs by the knight using his sword's pommel and Isaac fell to the ground, coughing up blood. "So, this is it huh...?" Isaac said to himself as the monster towered over him, raising his mighty blade. "Just do it already you fucker... Just fucking end me!" Isaac screamed in anger at the monster. It lifted Isaac up by its hand as its sword burned a bright blue, and it impaled him on the edge of it, throwing him down afterwards. Everything then went black after that, Isaac slowly losing consciousness due to the fight.
