A/N: This are the types of fairies that crawl/fly/come up into the story.

Pixie - Small, winged fairies that have a human-type form and at its tallest is only 6" tall. Pixies are quite attracted to small children, laughter, and happiness. They fun loving, carefree and love to do pranks. They are more spontaneous and active than their larger fairy counterparts and generally have a shorter attention span. They are very social beings and live in a monarchy under a king or queen.

Elf - found in many places throughout the world. They are a very long-lived race and are gifted with sharper senses, grace, agility and perceptions than humans. They excel in the arts and crafts, including the art of magic which they define as the gathering, focusing and directing of natural energy. In general, they dislike technology and live close to nature in an idyllic setting, respecting and working with all aspects of nature.

Brownie - wear brown clothing, are very meticulous and tend to have a darker brown skin color. They have no wings but are quite capable of getting to high places by each one climbing onto the other to boost each other up. These intelligent and good natured fairies

Gnome - these kind-hearted forest dwellers generally make their homes underground near oak trees. They are known for their protection and healing of wildlife and in general are very beneficial to have around. They mature early and both sexes have white hair by the time they are 100 or so with a lifespan of over 1000 years. On rare occasion they can be found in human dwellings but usually prefer to live in the woods, closer to nature.

Dryad - a type of fairy or tree spirit found in all old Celtic countries in Europe. The Celtic "Druids" are said to have gotten their names from the Dryads. Thought to be female fairies and live in the highest boughs of the 13 Celtic sacred trees. Said to have given their knowledge and secrets of magic to the Druids.

Nymphs - they said to be very seductive and are more of a classification of fairies. There are wood nymphs, water nymphs, tree nymphs, grove nymphs, etc.

Sprite - an elf fairy.

Will O'Wisp - a type of fairy that dances across lakes and bodies of water at night. The light that these fairies give off tends to look like a flickering candle or flickering orb of light. They have been seen all over the world.

Selkie - a type of fairy that is a shapeshifter.

Merpeople - a type of water fairy seen worldwide. Commonly called mermaids or mermen and are half human-half fish creatures who reside in the oceans and seas throughout the world. Appear to be very beautiful creatures, both the men and the women.

Changeling - an ugly fairy child put in the place of a kidnapped human child.

Courts

Seelie Court - those that want to work with humans to heal the planet we both share.

Unseelie Court - those who would rather solve the problem by eliminating humans altogether.
