Dedicated to a wonderful reader who continues to support me, thanks Julia;)

This is a bit long but I didn't want to split this chapter, btw I've chosen Joshua Bowman to play Wes, yes or no?

Chapter 8

"Than he had the nerve to yell at me! Can you believe that?" I growled at the phone laying on my dresser

"No, I can't." Tess tsked on the other end

She called when I came out of the shower wondering if I wanted to join her in yet another baby shopping spree. Putting her on speaker I explained how I had plans with Wes which her perverted mind translated to something dirty. After setting her straight I explained how I ordered him clothes after she left my office, his mini-temper tantrum and than his exit that left me a little flustered.

Slipping my feet into a pair of black wedges I stood up pleased with the look I achieved. Causal yet a bit dressy but not enough that Mr. Sex in Jeans can tease me about dressing up for him. I wore a black and white striped blouse that had a silver zipper in the back, a pair of light blue skinny jeans, matched with a pair of silver dangling earrings and a matching necklace. Nodding in approval I placed a thin crystal covered watch on my wrist, perfect. My makeup was its normal dab of mascara, eyeliner and a quick brush of blush. Just for color, of course. My lips had a soft shade of pink that added attention to my bow shaped lips, but it wasn't for Wes. It went with the outfit, I told myself.

"What the hell were you thinking Khlo?"

"Me?!" I replied staring down at the phone as if she were actually in the room

"You sent the man clothes which must of cut his ego in two, I mean come on Khloe you had it coming."

"Trust me I did the world a favor by cutting Wes's ego down a few pegs." I snorted

I expected Tess to take my side and shut the nagging voice in my head up, it has been bothering me since our small last night argument. Although I stand by my decision that I did nothing wrong I still had a sliver of guilt. I didn't do anything wrong, I assured myself for the hundredth time.

"A man's ego is sensitive and you basically challenged his manhood by sending those suits over."

"Really?" I asked still unable to comprehend the male mind

Tess laughed catching on to my confusion "Men need to feel like women need them not the other way around, you need to make him feel manly. Let him buy his own stuff. Apologize for yesterday and don't attack his manhood again, men are just as fragile as women."

"Apologize?!" I shouted my eyes widening

No way in this century is that happening!

"Yes, apologize. I have to go but call me when you get back, I want to hear all about your day out with Mr. sex on a stick."

Muttering a bitter goodbye I returned my phone back into the white tote bag I was using for today. Clipping my hair back with a small black clip, just as I stepped out of my bedroom a rasp at the door sounded. Rushing to the answer I paused by the small mirror behind the door to check my appearance one last time.

Perfect. Giving my hair a quick pat down I was startled by the hard knock. Another knock shook my front door, huffing out loud I knew he was doing it on purpose.

"Coming!" I shouted, I yanked the door open with enough force to pull it off it's hinges

Wes stood grinning wickedly with his hands shoved in the pockets of his dark jeans. The frustration from minutes ago soon evaporated as my eyes raked up and down his toned body. The soft gray T-shirt he wore showed off his toned arms and the way the V-neck clung to his chest revealing every curve of his abs. Yes abs, plural. No surprise his hair was disheveled standing out at every end giving a sexy bed hair look and those mysterious grey eyes had the effect that would have any woman on her knees. The glint of amusement added to their beauty, sucking me in.
