Everlasting Love

Chapter 2

As he walked outside, he saw the woman he was after talking to another Lady who he immediately recognized. He watched as the shy lady said something to her friend and walked away then he followed their direction and met with the friend.
"Phellipe?what's up?" She greeted cheerfully with a smile. Everyone in the University knew him, he was their senior, the smartest and one of the richest around the campus. The ladies flaunted themselves towards him when he was around them.
"Am good Carey. Was that your friend?the Lady who just walked away." He replied and asked which made Carey's smile widen.
"Oh yeah, she is officially my best friend and my roommate. Why do u ask?" She said.
"Well am more than curious. She seems so shy and almost frightened. And I want to know her better." He told her.
"Oh dude, you are smitten just like everyone else. She is just shy but she will come around soon enough so be patient Mr." Carey told him and after a few more exchange of words walked away.
     
           He was busy in his apartment off campus finishing some stuffs when he suddenly remembered her shy eyes. She was in his mind most of the time and he couldn't just dismiss her from his thoughts. He wanted her, he never took any other woman to mind that seriously. After thinking on how to get her to talk to him without getting any answer he decided to call Carey who was dating his best friend Jeremy so she was his sister in law and he was so happy for them. He waited patiently for her to answer and after sometime she did,
"Hey Carey, how are u?" He greeted,
"Am good Phellibe. How have u been?" She asked
"Not entirely good babes". He replied,
" why not? Are you sick?Jeremy didn't say anything about you not being okay. What's wrong?", she asked quickly and heard him sigh.
"Am not sick Carey. Nothing of the sort but I really need your help on something." Phellipe told her.
"Oh what is this about?" She asked,
"I want to know about your friend. What her name is, what she likes and the like. Everything u can tell me about her. And Carey, I like her a lot. I wanna know her." He said. Carey became quite for almost a minute the sighed before answering.
"Okay, but I might be of a little help. She has a mind of her own." She said.
"I know, just get her around me n leave the rest to me. I will know how to talk to her" be told her. After talking for a few more minutes, they ended the call, Carey ready to enforce the plan while Phellipe waited patiently.

As they were chatting in their room, Lily was arranging her clothes when Carey brought up another topic and turned to face her.
"Lil, do u know that tonight is the welcome Freshman's party?" She asked.
"Mmhh I know. Everyone's talking about it, can't not know" she answered her friend.
"Yah, soooo..."
"So what Carey? Spit it out"she said.
"Are u going? I mean we are freshman students, they organized it for us. Come on, plzzzz" Carey said as she observed her friend.

"Carey, u know I don't like big audiences, u can go. I will just stay in here, eat, enjoy a movie or two then sleep" she said.
"Oh no can do Lily. Its high time u get out of the made shell n make friends other than me. Come on, u can't stay huddled up in here forever. You are my friend n I want my friend to accompany me, please.." Carey said making pretty faces which Lily just couldn't deny.
