Adversity creates unexpected alliances, but treaties of nature seldom form with an equality of power. Loyalties forged in apprehension and mistrust are tenuous at best.
Easily broken when held up to the unforgiving light of the truth. But in the darkness of our most desperate hours, it’s often these loyalties that lend us the strength to do what we know must be done. A conflicted heart feeds on doubt and confusion.
It will make you question your path, your tactics, your motives.
When you stare ahead and darkness is all you see, only reason and determination can pull you back from the abyss.

I wake up to someone scooping my body off the bed and unto the old creeky floor.
"Aiden, is that you?" I mumble.
"Yea, its ok now, go back to sleep" Aiden sweetly comands.
I know what he's doing, yes, he's poping my dislocated ankle back into place. it wont be the first time.
Adien wastes no time, suddenly he pulls my ankle back and realises it. The pain is unbearable.
I scream out sweeting through my tears. But then every thing goes black.
***********AIDENS POV**********
When I wake up tayor is still curled in my arms. I like it this way. I can protect her.
I realise today, I will hurt her. Hopefully for the last time.
I think it would be best to do it before she is fully awake.
I slip my arms under her legs carrying her over to the floor.
Suddenly she stirs and mumbles some thing along the lines of is that you?
I cant tell her what im doing. But shes smart enough to figure it out.
"yea, its ok now, go back to sleep."
hopefully that worked.
I softly lay her on the old floor.
Then I quickly pull back her tiny little ankle putting it in line with her leg. Suddenly she jumps up and screams. she is sweeting and breathing heavy. I can't help but feel terrible about it. But I know Its for the best. I quickly release her foot and it looks normal. Apart from its black and blue swollen apperance.
Then she suddenly faints. Its ok though I know how to fix it.
I pick her up and put her on the bed so she is not laying on the cold hard floor, it is soft though from all its wear.
after 30 minutes I decide to go out side.
I sit on the porch in the chair I guess her brother use to sit in.
Suddenly I hear light crackling of leaves.
I quietly run back inside and press the button for the panick room I through almost all the meat and my extra weapons. Then I go pick up taylor and set her in there too.
Just incase the people are red belts, they dont know me. They only know her.
I here footsteps on the old porch. three nocks on the door untill it swings open. "hello?" I say in an american accent because after the cloapse all people who seemed not 100% full america were shiped out of the country. Which I was going to do, becasue this country is the worst of all but then I met taylors dad.
Then the door swings open I see 5 red belt standing there in full body armor.
"Have you seen this woman?" He holds up a picture of a woman I've never seen before. I shake my head no. "Her name is luna diaz" I shake my head no "How about this women her name is Taylor Shields" He asks
"No im sorry should I know them?" I lie.
"Do you mind if I look around?" He asks
"No sir, please come in." I step out from the door way. Ive learned being very nice helps.
"Is there any reason I should be worried about these girls?" i ask
"I cant share information, but if you see ether of them, they are very dangerous."
After they leave I go over to were Taylor is as soon as I open it she lashes out on me , but not before closeing the door.
**************taylors pov*************
"HOW COULD YOU!!" I scream
He locked me in a room with all the memories, memories that I've tryed so hard get away from.
Instand against the wall slowly sliding
down and sit on the floor in confusion.
"If I didn't put you in there,
you would have been taken" Aiden chokes on his own words.
"What are you talking about?" I ask.
"Red belts, they came here after you passed out I hid you in there, once they came in they
showed me a picture of you and some other girl." He said really fast.
"Still, thats were I hid all my memories from my past family. I've tried so hard to get away from, but when I woke up and turn on the light, only to realise that I...." He stops my babbling by pulling
me into a strong imbrace.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry," He wispers into my
long brown hair.
I push him of me, "I believe you but
sorry doesn't fix anything, Aiden."
