NOTES: ASDFGHJKL I'M SORRY I HAVEN'T UPDATED. I'M SUCH A HORRIBLE PERSON. School is so horrible and it's stressing me out so much. Hopefully the Joker will protect me from school. Hehe, I can dream right? Sorry for any spelling and punctuation errors. In my defense, I was half asleep when I wrote this. Hope you enjoy!

"(Y/N)!!!!" You hear the Joker call. You looked up from your phone, to him standing in the doorway, a huge grin plastered across his face.

"What?" You asked.

"Get some clothes on, dear!" He said, "We're going out!"

You groaned. You did not have the energy to put on jeans. The Joker pouted.

"Come on, it'll be fun!" He insisted. You checked your phone.

"Fun at 11:00 at night?" You said, tiredly. The Joker nodded. You looked at him, then to the couch, then back to him.

"Ok, fine." You grumbled, slumping off to your bedroom to change.

You sat in the passenger's seat of the car, looking out the window as the city lights sped past.

"Where are we going, anyways?" You asked. The Joker looked over at you and grinned.

"It's a surprise." He said. You raised an eyebrow in suspicion, knowing his idea of a "Surprise".

"Come on, J, please tell me?" You slightly begged. The Joker press a finger to his lips.

"No, because if I told you it wouldn't be a surprise." He said. You shrugged, knowing you would never get an answer out of that man.

The drive seemed familiar. You wracked your brain trying to figure out where he was taking you. You must of zoned out, because the next thing you knew, the car came to a stop. Right in front of the Arkham Zoo.

You looked over at the Joker in shock.

"Wh-" you started, but the Joker cut in.

"Surprise!" He said, "I know you've been nagging me for a pet, and I thought it would be an excellent surprise!"

He began to climb out of the car, as did you.

"When I said I wanted a pet, I meant like a dog." You said, shutting the car door.

The Joker pushed open the large metal gates. They screeched as he did so.

"What about the guards?" You asked him, as you walked through with him.

"I took care of it..." He said, "Pick whatever you like, Dear."

A smile spread across your face as you ran to a specific place in the zoo. The hyenas.

The Joker followed closely behind, seemingly knowing what you were thinking. You came to a halt as you approached the large cage the animals were kept in.

One of them opened its eyes and stared at you, before nudging the other awake. You slowly extended your hand into the cage, beckoning the animals to come closer.

They were hesitant at first, but slowly walked towards you, sniffing your hand. One of the hyenas nudged your hand with its head, signaling it was alright to pet him.

"I want these." You told the Joker.

"Good pick." He smiled, beginning to pick the lock.

Before you knew it, you were the new mother of two hyenas. You thanked the Joker with a kiss and a promise to let him pick the movie next time you two had movie night.

So, not a bad surprise at all.
