The tall grass, and the whispering wind through the leaves of the trees never gave away the fact that there was something on the loose. She was panic stricken and her legs were all wrapped up in the leaves and dried grass from the fall before the spring. Her hands were caked with mud, the sludge settled in the ridges in her fingers as she tried to pull the locks of bright auburn from the twigs on the branches that held her captive. Her ears could now hear the steps getting closer, being able to smell the scent of the this person on her skin from moments before the cat and mouse game began. Her feet finally got free so she could attempt to run, but the pipe dream ended when you felt a tug on her hair, making her scalp sting. I'm dead, she thought, I'm just so fucking dead.

 One would suppose that before going into the grueling details of what progresses, you will have to be taken back to one year ago. Everleigh was stuck under her father's thumb, like a no good teenager. Seventeen was far too young to be his daughter, and there's no way she would do it again if she had the chance.
