I was shocked. I knew ghosts hung around places where they died, but I had never thought that they could visit the living. Or in this case, me. My sister's name was Lani Wing. I only knew that from the papers I looked at. It was the few slivers of information I gleaned from it. And this was her. Straight before me, quite obviously. She wore a pale blue skirt and greenish leggings, along with a pale blue tank top, but I never remembered seeing her when she was alive. But now I could see her... well, in death? It was time to tell her. "I-I'm your sister. Oriana Wing."

It was her turn to be shocked. "That's impossible! Brain-dead people don't generate ghosts. Also if you are her, you can't have suddenly become brain-dead."

I perked up. New information. I had never heard that brain-dead people couldn't generate ghosts or spirits. I guess because they weren't truly dead? "Ha. You don't know anything about me." I swooped back into my body. Lani started yelling, "Hey! Don't try to possess a brain-dead body! You'll be stuck inside of iiiiiiiii...." Her voice started to almost glitch out. I blinked and swung my head toward where I knew she was. It took a moment for my eyes to adjust, and her figure started to appear, as well as her voice.

"H-how?" She looked at me in wonder. "Your vitals are all still working. And it seems like you're not trapped in her body."

"Duh. That's because I AM her." I let my mind wander as I floated upward. My torso became transparent, then flickered back to normal. "I had no idea how this would work when I was younger. Also, my ghost form doesn't create ectoplasm, for some reason. And if I changed clothes, my form would also change." I floated back into my body. "I'll need to go soon. Homework is such a butt." I tapped two fingers to my forehead in a salute. She smiled as she flickered and disappeared. I went back to doing homework, then went to bed.
