Elizabeth hummed the bridal march as she and Peter walked down the aisle, arm in arm. Elizabeth glanced around at the decorations, proud of her son for his ability to organize such a big event so well, in such little time. Peter glanced around, worrying about how Neal was going to afford such extravagates.
June had saved their seats in the front row, with an extra seat in case Mozzie decided to turn up after all. She had acquired a bottle of champagne for breakfast, and seemed incredibly happy to see everyone.

Meanwhile, Theo was outside of their hotel, waiting for the taxi they had hired, to appear.

"I can't believe you wouldn't splash out on another taxi for your fiancé. I mean, the groom isn't supposed to see the bride before the wedding day, let alone share a cab with them to the church!" Kate bitched.

Neal checked his watch again. They had seven minutes into the cab and get to the cathedral. He groaned impatiently.

"I'm sorry I'm not made of money, next time we get married, I'll buy you a horse drawn carriage all to yourself if you just hurry up!" He groaned.

"What do you mean next time we get married?" Kate demanded.

Neal's eyes widened. His mouth flapped open and shut like a goldfish, but no words came to them.

"Just hurry up and get ready to go," he snapped finally.

"I am ready," Kate huffed.

Neal walked over to the bedside table to grab the ring in its box. Since that was the whole reason they were there, he didn't want to forget it. The door that adjoined the two rooms clicked as it opened. Neal looked up to see Kate enter the room.
His mind went blank. His mouth fell open. His eyes widened.
Kate smoothed the skirt of her dress, sheepishly. It was an elegant tulle skirt, and a Queen Anne neckline. Floral lace curved its way across her shoulders and down her chest, to her skirt. Her hair was done up into an elegant bun at the back of her head, with her fringe swept to the left side. Her storm coloured eyes were framed by her hair.

"Wow," he breathed, "you look amazing."

"Thanks. June brought it. It was made by her friend. I don't think it's entirely legal," Kate smiled sheepishly.

"No, actually this is one of the only legal things June's French tailor makes. She usually makes designer outfits like Gucci," Neal chuckled.

Kate was less surprised than she looked.

"You know, I've actually had a lot of fun doing this with you," Kate smiled.

"Yeah it's been fun," Neal said.

"Here's the thing, I really enjoy being with you. And since we've been engaged for so long, I think we deserve to go on a real date," Kate suggested.

Neal paused and looked at her in surprise. "Are you asking me out?"

"Why not? You already asked me to marry you. We're already engaged. Surely that deserves a dinner," Kate smirked.

Neal couldn't stop himself from smiling. "Sure. When all of this is over, I'll take you to the restaurant in the Eiffel tower, and we can have a proper date."

Kate beamed back, in delight. "I look forward to it. Now let's go get married!"

Neal and Theo climbed out of the door of the car. Theo held the door open for Kate. Kate pulled the door shut again.

"What are you doing?" Theo asked.

Kate rolled down the window so she could be heard easier.

"The bride arrives after the groom," Kate explained, "driver, loop back around!"
