Messiah Clark wasn't born a mute but the many struggles he went through caused him to lose his voice..
He meets Amethyst in college and her humbleness and hospitality changes his life for the better.
Messiah, born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was abused as a child after his mother committed suicide. He became depressed and stopped talking for good. His father would abuse him and make him seem as if everything in this world was his fault.
His father gave him many scars all over his body so he got many tattoos to cover all his pain. When Messiah goes to college everything changes. He gets a scholarship for his talent in Art and gets a full payment for his four years.
Messiah thinks his life will always be the same until he meets Amethyst.

Amethyst Drake played by Nina Dobrev Amethyst was born and raised in Norman, Oklahoma. She was raised with a silver spoon in her mouth but she never acted the way her family did.
She is compassionate, her family isn't. Amethyst showed love and care for everyone else not just the rich. Her family would point fingers at a homeless old man sitting on a lonely corner but Amethyst would go behind their backs and give the poor old man food and money.
She too gets a scholarship at Oklahoma University because of her grades. She is planning on majoring in Fashion and Modeling. Amethyst is beyond excited to finally be able to leave her house and excel at something that has nothing to do with her parents.
While in college she meets the man who is gonna steal her heart.
