Messiah
Today is gonna be my first day at Oklahoma University and I'm stoked I can't wait to leave this depressing house. I am currently finishing up on packing my boxes up. I made enough money with all the work I put to buy myself an apartment in the complex in front of the University. The rent there is very cheap and all I am hoping for is that it looks as nice as it did in all the photos I saw.
"Messiah!" My father calls out when I walk out of my room with my last couple of boxes. I rolled my eyes before walking passed him and outside. I had bought myself a used hooptie so that when I make enough money I could get myself an actual car. I put my things into the trunk of my baby and then turn back around. He follows me out the door and almost trips on his own feet.
"I will be sending you five hundred dollars a week," He mutters and my eyes widen.
"As much as I don't want to admit it, I'm so proud of you," My father says and I actually felt a bit happy.
"I want you to know that all those years I spent abusing you I am slowly paying it back," He says followed by a coughing attack. My eyes widen a bit more as I stare at him questionably. Is he basically apologizing? He must be playing a joke or lying.
"You will understand what I mean, one day," He puts his hand on my shoulder and gives it a tight squeeze.
"Here," He reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out five one hundred dollar bills. I gasp as he places the money down on my hand. I take out my slightly thick wallet and put the money in there. My work at the tattoo shop has really paid off. Did I mention that I do tattoos for people? Actually, I got pretty lucky because the parlor I was working for is opening a new one right by the University.
Okay, I'm getting a bit off track here.
"Good luck and text me when you get there," He winks at me before walking back into the house. I grab my box of canvases and paints from the sidewalk and place it in my front seat. I stare at the medium sized house that is full of all my pain and suffering. I stick my middle finger up and wave it in the air.
I walk towards my car and prepare for a new life journey. This Universty has to be fucking perfect because I worked so hard to get here. I put my seatbelt on and turn on the ignition. When I pull out of my usual parking spot and make my way onto the highway, I feel all that hatred, depression, pain and loneliness leave my body and stay right behind me.
This time, I'm gonna change.

My eyes widened as I pulled into the parking lot of my new apartment complex. It had been two hours of driving because of traffic but it was worth it. This place is beautiful.
I put my car on park and then turn off the ignition. My seat belt clicks off as I open my door and stand up. My legs are a bit cramped and my bum is killing me. Even though I stopped a couple times on the way here to get a bunch of snacks and to use the bathroom.
The owner of the complex mailed me my keys and told me to just come in and do my business when I was ready. My father had surprisingly paid to buy all my furniture and he made sure my apartment would be full of groceries when I got there. I was very surprised, to say the least. I guess he was happy since his meth company was growing.
I grabbed all of my boxes and with the help of the bellhop, I got everything into my apartment. It was very beautiful and looked just like it did in the pictures.
In under five hours, I had finished my unpacking and the whole apartment was decorated. I had it decorated in simple black and white colors. I hang up some of my paintings and drawings around the walls. Although most of my dad's interior designers tried to fix up my things I still rearranged the whole apartment.
My favorite part of the entire apartment was my room. The theme is mostly black and the decor made me feel warm inside.
I walked towards the window and look for any places I could eat because I was starving. I found a small little pizzeria across the street and got excited. I grabbed my wallet and put it in my pocket with my phone and house keys. I walk out the door and make sure to lock it behind me.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Clark," The woman sitting at the front desk in the lobby says when she sees me. I nod my head at her with a small smile. I could feel her eyes buring the back of my skull as I awkwardly walk to the exit of the building.
When I get into the pizzeria, I immediately feel the warmth of welcome. The hosts smiles at me warmly and asks me if I wanted a table but I kindly decline. I walk up to the cashier and he gives me a grin.
"What can I get you?" He asks and I turn my head to where all the pizzas are. I point to the only two slices of Hawaiian pizza left and he nods.
"Both?" He asks and I nod.
"What would you like to drink?" I point to the bottle of raspberry snapple and he gets me a cold one from the fridge.
"Your total is gonna be $4.50," I pass him a five dollar bill and when he gives me the change I drop it into the tip jar with an extra two dollars.
"Thank you," He says and I nod before sitting down at one of the stools. My eyes wander around the slightly packed pizzeria. My eyes catch a table full of girls. They were all laughing and looked happy. My eyes widened when they landed on one certain girl who had gotten up to get a refill for her soda. She has long straight hair, big brown eyes, a sharp jawline, and a very slim curvy body. She is wearing a striped blue cropped top, jeans, and white vans shoes. I really want to know what her name is because holy shit she is gorgeous. First day here and I have already spotted a beautiful piece of art.
"Here's your meal," I hear the same voice of the cashier's and I snap out of my trance. I grab my to go box and drink before smiling at him. I take one last glance at the girl just to see that she was already staring back at me. Her eyes widen as her gaze snaps down to her soda and she blushes cherry red. That was super adorable.
I smile softly at her before leaving the pizzeria.
I really hope she's in the same University as me.
