Chapter One: Melissa's POV

Not all endings are happy

I looked below me to the shrug body. Lifeless. Cold. I got myself together and called 911. There had to be somewhere they could do. Something. But in a way I didn't want to. I know that sounds bad, but she wanted this. She thought I didn't care, that I never listened. So maybe I should listen to her now. Not call. Let her go. Respect her wishes. I hesitated to press the bubbled didgets. Nine. I couldn't. This had to be the last time I went against her wishes. I should have helped her a long time ago. I knew something was wrong but I refused to admit something was wrong with my perfect daughter. I couldn't hesitate any longer. One. The more I waited the less chance I would ever see her being perfect, or god damn I could care less even imperfect, ever again. One. The last didget. I spoke to the operator on the other end. The only calm part. Soon I could hear the rush of sirens and help. Help was on the way. Kenzie locked herself in her room crying. I carried the limp body over to Kenzie's room. She was terrified. Her eyes glassy when she saw her sister. I set her down "common Maddie, wakey upey!" Kenzie said shaking the now much colder body. Nothing. She stared at me. I stared back. We were left hopeless. Greg was still sleeping. I didn't wanna wake him but ended up doing so as the paramedics arrived. He was strong for me. But he was just as heartbroken as I was as they carried away my little girl. Then one of the paramedics yelled something... "Ma'am, we found a p-"
