A/N Due to popular demand (popular demand being one person) here's part TWO!!

Dan did call that number. And went on a date with Phil a week after their first meeting. It wasn't anything huge. They went on a cliche movie date to see Avatar in 3D, at the end they kissed in 3D glasses. Despite the date not being much, Dan couldn't have asked for it to be any different.

They dated for almost six years before Phil finally gained the confidence to ask Dan to marry him. In Dan's eyes it was amazing that if he weren't to have left his apartment that cold, dreary day and hadn't gone into that small coffee shop to escape the cold then he wouldn't have the love of his life beside him. He wouldn't be helping him choose out which flowers would look best at the wedding or trying to choose between black and pastel blue roses. He wouldn't be having the joking argument of black being better since it goes with anything, and he wouldn't be getting ready to get married in a week. He would've lost the biggest opportunity of his life. Phil wouldn't even know he existed if he hadn't worn that muse shirt, Dan wouldn't have gotten a hot boy's number if Phil didn't choose to get up and say hi.

They sometimes wonder how life would've turned out if they hadn't met, but then they silently agree that this is probably one of those consistencies throughout universes, where no matter what they would be forced to get together one way or another. They were happy. And being happy with Phil was all Dan could ever have asked.
