Wolf Pack Preferences

I was walking around the woods, admiring the beauty of spring. Rain was falling lightly but I didn't really mind. My long brown hair was plastered to my forehead, showing off my ordinary brown eyes that I usually hid. Nothign was really special about me, pale skin, brown eyes, brown hair. I was as normal as they came. What wasn't normal was my friend choice. Paul Lahote had always been my best friend, and as cliche as it sounds, I was madly, truly, deeply in love with him. When I found out he was a werewolf, I freaked out. It took awhile to get use to it, but eventually our friendship was stronger than ever. 

"Sam, its time to come in!" I turned to see Pauls tall, broad figure standing on the porch of Emily and male Sam's home. I walked inside and he handed me a towel and hugged me tight. I didn't know what was up with him lately. He was touchier than usual, it didn't bother me but It was kind odd. 

"Your going to catch cold if you stay outside Sam! I don't know what I'd do if you got sick." I smiled slighty and hugged him tight and gave him a peck on the cheek. His ears turned red and he scurried off to his room. That was odd too, his hot and cold streaks. Embry and Seth came hin chuckling, I turned a confused glance on them and Embry doubled over laughing. 

"Why don't you sneak upstairs to see what going on. Don't be heard, I promise it will be worthwhile to find out why he ditches all the time." I was even more confused now. I did as told and snuck up to Pauls room. I heard the shower running and scooted over to the door. What I heard next was unexpected. 

"Okay Paul, just...be cool and tell her. I mean, you imprinted nearly a year ago! Come on, just...Sam, I love you. No that won't do! Sam, I want you to know that I imprinted on you and I'm in love with you. Shit thats too long! Okay just straight out! I love you. Fuck! This is so frustrating! Okay, calm down Paulie, just tell her that you..." 

"Or you could yell at yourself some more. That's always entertaning!" Paul whipped around to see me standing in the doorway. He looked stunned for a moment before a smile took over his entire face. He stalked towards me and pressed me against the wall. 

"I love you." He pressed his lips to mine and I felt all the things he felt for me. After a few moments that felt like forever he pulled away. 

"I love you too."
